"You bet I do. But you also know his bad track record with electricity," Sonic said. He looked behind him at the ice cream joint. "Want some?" he offered.

Tails kept his serious manner, but as always, it never hid the child-like excitement in his eyes. "Sure."

Sonic chuckled. "Righto then. Come on," He said. "Oh, and Rookie's on his way, too. You remember him right?" he added.

"I sure do." Tails said as thunder rolled in the distance. As soon as the fox heard it, he yelped and clung to Sonic's arm with the expression of pure terror.

Sonic looled down at Tails and sighed. There was nothing to say except-- "Wait-- Thunder in the desert?!" The sky went dark. "Uhh..... Let's get inside!!" He exclaimed, holding Tails' hand and zipping inside.


Rookie looked up. "Thunder?" He pondered aloud.

Tails didn't protest being dragged inside the stand. He quivered slightly, "Th-thunder. How?" The fox said, momentarily losing his cool and ability to speech gud.

"I dunno, bro. I just don't know...." He replied, more concerned about the rain that was almost certian to accompany the thunder.

Tails peeled away, straightening out his terrified expression. "It's not going to rain anytime soon, is it?" He said acknowledging Sonic's distaste for water.

"Thunder usually means rain," Sonic replied, swallowing hard and tensing. "So probably yeah,"

Tails frowned, "Water, in general, is fine and all, but having little balls of it rain from the sky in an annoying rhythmic pattern on your head, is well, annoying." He said in his special way of "lightening" the mood.
