Sonic skiddrd to a halt, hoping he had left that pesky black fox in his dust trail for a while. Then he realized that he had also left Rookie, Azul, and Ganz behind as well.... "Oops," He said. He shrugged. They would catch up eventually.

Sonic's ears perked up and he smiled. He knew that voice anywhere. He turned around, beaming. "Heya Tails!" He greeted. "How've you been?:

The small orange fox, dubbed Tails, smiled. "Fixing what you break as usual. Hey, what's the rush?"

"Eh, runnin' from this one girl that I'm beginning to think Eghman hired to annoy me to death. I don't think she's letting up anytime soon, though... Anywho, the reason I came to the desert is because of those Phantom rumors that are goin' around. Wanted to check it out. What brings you out here?"

"Oh, just thought I'd stop by the middle of nowhere." Tails said raising a brow. "Here. Fixed." He said handing Sonic a -insert whatever those communicator-hologram things are called-, his twin tails waving.

"Oh! Thanks. Any luck getting Knux to carry one of these around yet?" He asked, putting on the communicator.

"Nope. You know how stubborn he is." Tails said with a defeated sigh.
