Diana scuttled back to you and tugged on your pant leg, then ran back to the bed and put her paws up on the side, looking back at you. Pretty obviously, she was suggesting you get some rest, as the sun was setting outside. Other things can wait- like, just go snuggle with the raccoon xD.

When you inched closer to Izumi he jumped and shuffled away from you, putting Kyogi between you and him. Although Kyogi was still shorter than you, she shot you a heated warning glare. Before them, Faye and Refina were poking at the cloth. "Where did you find this?" Refina asked you, levitating the cloth some distance at your eye level, as she probably knew that holding it could contaminate the evidence.

Things floating, Micah thought to himself before answering, Why does that seem familiar? *In with the remains,* he replied, *Though it does not seem to match with the other conclusions made about the crime. Claws instead of knives.*

The first was the murderer, who killed the victim with a simple stab, most likely, and then there was the second party who came no later than an hour or so, who then ripped up the corpse and did all of the gorey stuff."

Micah grimaces, *So not only is there a murderer, but also some sick psycho? Joy.* He ran his fingers through his hair in a rather annoyed yet thoughtful manner, *What is the world is going on here?* he muttered, mostly to himself.

You felt a hand on you shoulder and you turned, unsure what to expect. Nothing bad greeted you, it was Refina, and she was looking at you with a rather concerned gaze. "Are you okay?" She smiled gently and tilted her head. "You seem a little bit distraught." Her hand was ice cold and you tried not to flinch. In the background, Kyogi was muttering something to Izumi while Faye grabbed the floating cloth out of the air with gloves you didn't know she had.

*Y-yeah, fine.* He shivered slightly under her cold touch, *Just really confused. And maybe frightened at being thrown into the whole mess when I do not even belong here.* He smiles nervously, his tongue moving a bit more freely than normal. Then his thoughts from earlier hit him. He stared at Refina, looking shocked and stunned. No, surely not! It had to be one big coincidence, right?

She smiled in response to you, and you had a very weird feeling in your mind. Before you could question her more, she left to join Faye with the cloth. You hear her tell Xan that they would be taking the cloth to a lab or something along those lines. You felt someone's gaze and then noticed Kyogi staring and slightly glaring at you.

Micah felt a sense of dread worm in his stomach. And Kyogi staring only made it worse. The people who had been murdered had all seen something mysteriously floating beforehand. These strange people could make things float. And where better to be to cover your tracks than being a big part of the investigation yourself?

"Of course!" Faye exclaimed, making you jump. "Hallucinogens. That's how the victims go somewhat crazy." She glanced at you. "We're going to the lab." She thanked Xan and took the cloth, putting it into a clear bag and handing it to Refina. "We'll see you later, fellow investigator." With that, the unusual troupe left.
