As everyone else says, if you want your pets back, work to gain more gold to exchange for diamonds. 50 diamonds isn't that much. also, if your pets keep getting released, then dont breed so many pets! this is pretty much why i have a strict rule on myself for that

nu-uh, no support at all

Yeah but that only works if people are willing to pay diamonds or have enough diamonds.

Since everyone seems opposed to the no auto release thing, how about a delay in the auto releasing instead. Like instead of release almost immediately after your hatchery pets become an adult, u could have up until a certain amount of time to move them into ur stables. For example, u could have 3 days before the pets are auto released.

I would still say no support. You have all the time in which the pet is an adolescent to move it into your stables or make more room for it.

I'd like to explain the reasons as to why players seem to be opposing your suggestions. o:
Most players aren't agreeing with your suggestions because through playing the game, there's no real need for what you suggest (eliminating auto release or delaying it).

Everyone starts off with one stable with one tab and their starter pet. As players learn how to play the game, they start to accumulate gold, or learn how to make more gold, so they can both feed the pets they already have and increase their stable space to keep more pets.

If a player breeds, they'll quickly fill up their stable space. Breeding also is generational, so the previous parents on the way to breeding the final pet often have no purpose to be kept, other than for sentimentality. While there's many ways to play Sylestia, breeding is a pet-heavy feature that fills up the stables pretty fast.

Once a player gets to their limit for whatever reason, they have to pick between buying more stable space (whether it's buying a new tab or a new stable), OR releasing pets (or putting them up for sale). For those who are attached to their pets, it's a hard decision to make, unless you have the gold or diamonds to buy more space. And for people who accumulate pets quickly, it's a decision that has to be made again and again.

As you keep playing the game, the hope is that you're able to make more gold to support your pets, however you have to. And there's multiple ways to make gold on the site (whether its through missions or selling items from the festival or selling pets that you've bred). There's guides on how to do missions in the forum, which is the easiest way to make gold, and the rest of the ways are just learned as you go along.
(In terms of buying new stables, 500 diamonds for a new stable is about 1.25mil in gold, or just 1mil when there's a sale going on. I believe there are players that are able to save up that much gold if they play often enough to get a new stable or new tabs.)

Players who oppose your suggestions have already learned how to balance their pet accumulation, either making enough gold to buy tabs or stables, or releasing pets to make space for new ones. Pets being born in the hatchery and aging up to adolescence and adulthood is already the delay that players use to figure out what to release or make gold to buy more space. If you're not at that point yet where you can't afford space, then it feels tough to not be able to keep all your pets, but its like a signal to find other directions in the game if you want to keep your pets, whether it's to learn how to make more gold or learn how to let go of your pets.

I hope this explains some of the reasoning behind some of the criticisms on the thread. o:
