Today marks Sylestia's 5 Year Anniversary!!!


It is crazy in both that we can't believe it's been five whole years since we launched back in 2012, but also that it has already been five whole years! It feels both like it's been so short and yet so long at the same time.

Thinking back on where we were five years ago, we have grown up so incredibly much. So many added features. So much added artwork. So many players (almost 100,000!!!), over 3,000,000 pets, etc, etc. Yet at the same time, it feels like it was just yesterday when Faiona and I turned on the switch and watched in awe and excitement as players trickled in to sign up to our creation that we basically had launched into the abyss of the internet. We cannot thank each and every one of you enough for choosing us to spend and devote so much of your time and effort on. It has always been, and always will be, incredibly humbling.

Being our five year anniversary, I feel like it's a bit extra special. And what better time than to basically coincide with the pending release of the super, duper, long awaited MegaZone (aimed to launch in January)! And then after that, we will begin the massive project of rebuilding the entire infrastructure of Sylestia to relaunch and officially end our beta phase once and for all. It truly is very exciting and we can't wait to get these things rolling.

In celebration of today, we have made the Advent Calendar prize for today extra special! We will also be handing out a special Avatar Item to all currently active players registered prior to today. We may also have a game or something special later today - stay tuned for a site wide ping if so.




We can't wait to see how Sylestia continues to grow as both a site and as a community and we hope that you all will continue with us on this journey for the many, many years to come!

Sylestia is the only Internet game that has ever held my attention for so long. I have been an active player ever since I signed up, and that's all thanks to the wonderful work you two have done, the love you give the site, as well as us players, and the wonderful player base Sylestia has! I've never seen such a kind and loving community as this one!

So in short, Krin, Fai, and all of Sylestia, keep on being awesome! <3
