As we said just up there, that boy is part of our max-stat project (aalthough once we think we've got the four nytes with the right traits we'll be going into a generation of breeding to cement the traits rather than stat boost) It's probably going to take another 2-3 generations stat-boosting-wise to get to max on the four base stats.

To get max stats that you yourself make generally takes a lot of work in time and cost, because you need the philters to boost the stats when the eggling hatches (never mind that HP takes more prismas even once you've gottn 100 in str/int/dex/agi, and you just can't do any gosh darn thing about mana to boost it. if you want a non-fabled species with max mana, have fun finding four-star opponents of the right species to catch)

You've got the Lesser Philters , which are a +5 to the one stat (eg Lesser Philter of Vigor is +5 Str)
Philters, which are +20 (eg Philter of Acumen is +20 int
and Prismatic Philters, which are +200 HP and +10 to Str, Int, Dex, and Agi

So you can totally breed a max stat pet (probably excluding HP) if you've got a set of two pets with ~90 base stats and a prisma philter to use when the eggling wants to hatch.

What's the deal with restricted traits? How do we get them? Where can I get them?

those are locked trait that you can unlock with special mutator, by getting a restricted themmed pet or by breeding with a pet that have that trait.

Um, anyways, about max stat breeding, does the pet's current stats go into the breeding (e.g. stats after training and leveling up) or does breeding only calculate on base stats?

The base stat are calculated yes, but not the level up stats.

They will hatch with stats somewhere between the parent's base stats (is one parent has 20 Int and the other has 40, the offspring's Int will be a random number from 20-40)
