Nicole saw him exit the room. They both did a pretty good job avoiding each others' eye contact. Finally she gained the courage to talk to him- on the other end of the hallway.

"Hey," she said. "Umm, the rest of us are going to check out the school." She sighed, hiding behind her curtain of golden blonde hair. "Wanna come?"

Polaris nudged her forward. She involuntarily stumbled a bit closer to him, turning to glare at the Vulnyx. "I'm Nicole, by the way..."

"Malachi..."

He answered back, his voice quiet. "I don't need to explore, Casper already did that."

'What does she want? A date with me?'

It annoyed him the way she was so on guard of him, what did he do to deserve this type of careful treatment? Oh well, she was better off keeping her distance though. Malachi didn't sign up for this to make friends.

"Oh, okay," she whispered, looking down at the small Luffox perched on Malachi's shoulder. Casper, huh?

Polaris' mental laughter echoed in her head. He's wondering why you're pestering him..
he thinks you want a date with him!

Nicole felt herself choke on air, "WHAT?" She calmed down, then mentally said, You can't just go around reading everyone's thoughts!

Well, he pretty much threw it out for me to hear. He chuckled.

Malachi sent a glare Polaris's way suddenly as Casper snickered too as if he made a comment to Malachi and snitched on Polaris.

"Excuse me, I have more reading to do. I don't have time to make friends."

'Shut up, Casper!'

Casper snickered once more as he spoke only to Malachi. 'You fancy her...~'

Polaris strained to hear what Casper had said to Malachi, but couldn't. Can't...hear...anything...

Nicole crouched next to the Vulnyx and stroked his head. "Maybe I should have named you Eavesdropper instead."

He pushed his head closer to her hand, purring. She laughed. "But I still can't get mad at you..." The blonde got up and turned to Malachi. "Well, I'm sorry about Polaris; he misbehaves constantly."

Malachi nodded and closed his door behind him as he walked out more into the hall. He enjoyed the animals more so than the people.

Kneeling down, he patted Polaris on the head gently and stroked under his chin. "Casper likes to disappear at random."

As he was explaining, Casper seemed to disappear.

She and Kiva exited out of the room. She was wearing a pretty scarf with a few feathers on the ends. She rode on Kiva. Kiva's fluffy wolf tail flicked as she walked past Nicole and Polaris. She held Kiva's horns as she walked along the halls, most likely to find an exit to fly around with Kiva. ``Where, Is, The, DARN EXIT?`` She yelled. She turned to see everyone staring at her, her face was a bright red as she blushed with embarrassment.
