As you come close to it, you realize that it is actually a waterfall, where the river falls into the chasm. You see caves up higher in the cliff. Do you explore some of them or go back towards the glinting material?

As you come into the den, you hear a whimpering sound coming from deeper in. The inside of the den is dry, the floor packed with dirt to keep it dry, and the walls are covered in mud to prevent rain. Do you explore the whimpering sound or head out?

"Hey little guy," I speak softly, but loud enough to be heard over the other's mocking, to the little creature still cowering in the middle of the circle. "You okay?" I gently reach out and lay a hand against its back.

It pushes closer to you, still frightened. Meanwhile, the others were getting tired of mocking and some started to wander off, bored. The frightened creature immediately sped off towards the cave with the inscriptions. Do you follow him or look for something else to do?

As soon as the little creature speeds off I'm up and following after it.

i want to go back to the glinting material

It stares at the rune inscriptions, then pads towards them and presses his paw on a symbol of a smoky, indistinct creature inside of a triangle. The block of stone goes in with a grinding, before jerking out abruptly. The young creature let out a disappointed sort of huff. Do you check out the inscriptions?

As you walk near, you notice that it is a piece of metal, and as you look around you notice lots of other pieces of metal. Some of the metal looks like it has been dragged towards the edge of the chasm, like to cover something up. Do you explore the cover-up, or go back to the waterfall?

I carefully walk forward to inspect what the little creature was messing with.
