XD i'm not exactly sure how you have your game play but I'm sure you make it where the "adventures" can pay for eggs instead of you. Unless you want them to find them at random or for a prize or if they spend points to buy eggs.

You can set up a gold shop to buy "Guardian Eggs" for a base price and spit differences between yourself and seller(s)

You walk in to the 12 Gaurdians caves and you see each one of them sitting on clutches of multi colored eggs.

The best way to tell if a pet has traits carried is to test them and use the sylesia extension it can be really helpful, if you want your pets tested and don't have kits then other players(including me) who have the exceptional test kit with unlimited uses will normally test pets for free.
