During the fest, I happened to have a couple tanks with glow effects. I loved going through the cave with them because despite the tiny size of the pet following my avatar, the glow effects were just really pretty. It made me realize that I would love a darker color theme for Sylestia.
I was thinking with the fantasy feel of Sylestia, maybe something dark brown-gray. Not too dark though since then it might be a bit hard to see some darker colored pets.
Here's some examples of what certain pets could look like with a darker background color. I was honestly shocked after doing some of these because I had no idea how much beautiful detail we're often missing. If anyone else has pets they want to show, including a different background color if they feel it's better, feel free to post.

Most needed thing ever. The white site isn't just hard on the glow effects, it is also hard on the eyes for those with sensitive eyes, like me.
I would love to see Sylestia have at least one alternative color scheme with some brown/grey buttons, light grey (silverish) text or perhaps a cream color, and a nice darker background to go with it. Kind of like this:

I agree with this suggestion. There are colors in designs that you cannot see and so cannot use in addition to the glow of some traits being lost.

Definitely support this. While the white background isn't bad, I'd love to have a darker option for all the reason's mentioned above, from being able to see full traits and their sparklies, to having something a little easier on the eyes, especially at night ^.^

Oh wow. These are gorgeous. Would love to have this option.
I've never fancied nebula mane on qitatries, cause it feels a bit detached from the body, but with the dark background, it's so pretty!

Fully support! I just want to add that avatars/avatar items would look wonderful as well on a darker background! :)

Definitely support, I almost always use darker themes when available because my monitor is extremely bright and I cannot adjust the brightness anymore due to Windows 10 + a non-microsoft keyboard with no light/dark buttons. I'm stuck at 100% brightness and this site hurts my eyes after a bit.

I support this 100%. I love the darker themes of sites- Quotev, Youtube, and google just to name a few. This is much needed.
