I have no idea, I quit the story line to breed sylesti for a while and I'm only in the zone after Umbra Forset myself :)

Currently there are three areas on the map, so it sounds like you are close to opening up the last area.

As for the festival, for the large ones there have been separate zones that are accessible by everyone no matter where they are in the storyline. Recently they had a couple of the smaller fests in the main world zones. I would expect the spring fest will have it's separate zone again, but they might decide to change it up.

I consider the main world zones the three zones on your map (Viridian meadows, Umbra forest, and Astryl's vale). The first two have dungeons and a town, while the last area has a town and two areas within the main zone to explore (Astryl's tranquility and Sweet blossom orchard) Astryl's vale is set up a bit different than the first two areas, but the general idea of zones within the main zone still applies. Sorry for any confusion, my terminology may differ from others. Lol!
