As some/most of you have probably noticed by now, the price of each food unit to feed Pets has increased overnight. A few notes about this.

First, the increase. Prior, it cost a base of 10g per food unit. This was increased to 25g per food unit. This means that...

No Stablehand: 10g -> 25g
Stablehand 10% Bonus: 9g -> 22.5g
Stablehand 80% Bonus: 2g -> 5g

Second, and this is the most important point, this was essentially done as a test. I intentionally increased the price most definitely too far to gauge just how far it was overly tuned.

Using the data/reaction of this increase, I will most likely be reducing it to somewhere between 10g and 25g. When I do this, I will refund all players for the difference in what they spent feeding their Stables.

Third, I wanted to also open the topic of discussion for other 'uses' of feeding pets or other ways to reduce it. Two examples of these are:

-An account bonus of some sort for keeping your pets fed for x days in a row
-A higher tier Stablehand that can be unlocked with a more advanced requirement that will also come with additional discounts / other bonuses

Lastly, this was done because gold inflation is still an issue we're dealing with for the economy. I do think the MegaZone will help a bit, but the game still hands out too much gold everyday vs what it takes back in. This change is an attempt to reduce the difference a bit. As I said, 25g is too much. At this point in time comparing the numbers of prior vs today, I think 15g would be a good number.

But I'd also like to look into giving you guys something back as a reward for feeding your pets... so that it's not just an empty expense.

So please provide your feedback/thoughts on the change and please keep in mind that this is temporary/a test and you will be reimbursed the difference when the final change is put in place. So please be constructive with your posts. No ranting please =P

I think 15g is better than 25g. As a suggestion maybe you could have stable and hatchery pets be fed separate. Like a different button for stable pets and hatchery pets. Feeding each stable is time consuming and feed all can get expensive.

Although I don't really understand about the stable hands as I have never figured out how to unlock them in the first place.

Would it be possible to make the feeding price different depending on the type of pet, level, etc? Say a Zolnixi costs 10g to feed and a Ny'vene costs 20g? Or the higher level a pet gets the more it costs to feed it.

Not really sure, but it might make it feel a little more fair to have to feed a dragon more than a dog, I suppose. :)

I'll be honest and say that I did not notice any difference. :D

and about adding feautures, I'd love to see a new stablehand please!
also, keeping your pets fed for some number of days in a row could add some bonuses for sure. maybe like reducing the cost of feeding, or making the stablehand contract (if there is one) last longer.

Yea, the info is not very good with that... I should look into fixing that.

I feel adding bonuses to keeping pets fed x (maybe around 3-5 days) would be a good idea, to reward players for having to spend money on feeding their pets as well as rewarding players for playing the game and actively caring for their pets.

Additionally, I feel the price for feeding pets should be lowered to 15g, for new players, 25g per pet is a bit of a strain, and for players in general 25g is just an annoying price to pay to keep the pets fed. For players like me, saving up for a new tab, 25g takes a toll on my savings.

Thank you for listening.

Maybe Possible random drops for feeding Pets, I honestly did not notice the change. I know this is vague, but I really like surprises ^-^.

This probably isn't the place for it, but could I ask how we get a stablehand? That sounds really useful!

As for gold sink ideas, maybe a gold sink event? Like, something similar to the events that pop up on the top of the screen, but maybe longer lasting. A dragon shows up and demand 1 million gold or something for a quest. Everyone donates however much they can until 1 million is reached. Then the dragon flies way, leaving some rare objects from its hoard to the top 5 contributors
