Kana was in the crows nest still observing from a better height balancing one of her daggers on her muzzle when they were told to do the more mundane tasks buy the big Kitty. But she stopped when she heard him address the Tom that had arrived on the boat sometime ago. The Vixen found it strange how the big Kitten was upset about the toms arrival, even though they had all only just joined the scrappy little crew. Seeing as how none of the others would make a good Gun hand she couldn't let him be tossed aside. She tossed her Dagger down having it land right in between Byrd's large Paws " Aye, I think it wise we not scuffle over this cap'n may need more than one Gunnie..." she said her paws dangling over the ledge.

Byrd didn't flinch when the knife landed between his paws, he simply raised one eyebrow and looked at Kana.
"Is that so? I was just about to ask yer opinion on his worth actually." Byrd looked back at the male nixi and gave him a half intimidating half mischievous look.
"So, what do ya think Kana? Is he worth keeping around or should we toss him overboard an see if he floats? Of course ya could always just keep him around for a bit o' target practice eh?"
As he said this he pulled the knife out of the deck and toyed with it in one massive paw, admiring the glint of the well polished blade.

He was of course just toying with the tom but, if he were going to make an even half decent pirate he would need to be able to keep his wits about him.

Kana Chuckled "I guess your right... he would make a nice Target..." She said her stubby tail wagging as she leaped down to the deck landing with a gentle precision and making her way over to the massive cat a small bounce in her step. She stopped and looked the Black and white tom over as if she was reading a book " Though I do see potential as a good gunnie, maybe not to bad with a short blade either...." She jumped up snagging the knife from Byrd and tossing it at the Nixi's feet causing it to land about a foot in front of him." Why don't we see what ya got kid" She said taking another blade in her mouth, this blade was quite unusual, it was engraved and intricately decorated with rubies and silver, and the wooden handle was a dark shade of brown that was almost black. the blade itself looked like it had strips of red metal melted into it in a marbled fashion, and was about 7 inches in length. She balanced it on her nose blade down a cocky smirk on her face, "You get first move rookie.." she said staring at him from behind the blade

Three hours of loading, it was wading nigh onto the witching hour now and they still needed to get the ship out to the anchor point and set it in the mud. "Careful there Kana, lest we have ta take bets on if'n ye nail 'im afore he nails ye." She responded to Byrd and Kana.

A few of the old hands aboard s******ed and chuckled at what Crys had suggested while they were starting to unwind the lines.

"Byrdie I'll get topside wit' some o' ta others an' let doon the mainsail. Come on oop here wit'me Spots, we'll put them digits o' yers ta fine use oop here!" She called out.

Kana smirked she always liked a good bet, if ther was weapons and loot she was all in, but this was more or less a test of the toms abilities, she was certine she wouldn't loose, but winning wasn't her goal this time. If he was a seasond fighter now was the time to show it, if not Kana was sure she could still guage his abilities ad train 'im up right, " Aye, better off getting this ol' ship movin' for' ye start placin' bets" she said still waiting for the tom to make his move.

Dari~Female~No Ship Expecting the North Star soon

Dari paced the decks, her green eyes stung from the salty sea air. She loved it. She loved sailing, the sea, the winds that gave her hope and freedom. But of course in due months time she would have to return to attend to her egg. She sighed pawing a hoof across the deck impatiently. Her daughter and son were currently being taken care of an old friend of hers. Dari stood, still as rocks in the ocean tides, on the deck her eager eyes drinking in the vast ocean expanses she was just about to ride! "Ye Olde tides 'e a comin'. Ye olde tides 'e a comin'. Bless 'em might'e spirit, o' ye olde tides 'e a comin'. Ridin' the vast ocean plains! Oh. 'Ow I wish to 'e a sailin' among the might'e thron'g! Oh it 'e the sailor's song!" she murmured to the sky her head held high.

Ilmarinen ~~ 16 ~~ Male ~~ The North Star

He had barley broken the spine of the fish as he was toldto hurry up with it. by the little furball. He simply didnt eat the fish but rather keept on holding it in his beak while working side by side by the lupe. As his strength was requierd he pushed or pulled the crates into the net as he was told to do so. But the dead fish still remaind in his beak, resting while waiting for its fate to be sealed as it would make its way into the stomach of the grey and goldspotted nyte. But once all the crates was on the ship the fishholding male followed the lupe up on it once more. Just as his tail got up on the ship he heard the lighra speak with his strong, commanding tone. So he was to find a spot to sleep? well that was easy enough to be honest! He simply walked to a courner there he thought he would be as little in the way as possible, curled up into a ball and begun eating the fish. The first thing he did was eating the eyes. Most seems to think its disgusting but he have found them to be rich in energy and taste. So once he had eaten the eyes that once had belonged to the dead fish that rested under his paws he begun to pick it upen, eating it bit by bit.

But the small feast was interupted shortly after it had begun by the small furball that told him to follow. So a bit anxiously he looked at his fish before doing a rather childish atempt at hiding it from the two nixis and everyone else that could possibly find it. Not that many would most likely want to have a almost halfeaten fish that was raw. Most would want it cooked atleast but he himself didnt care much, food as food to be honest. But once his food was hidden enough for him to feel good about it, half the reminder was still peeking out of the hidingplace but he was okej with it. As he got to pole that the little furball had climbed up. For some time he looked at it before he put his claws in it and slowly climbed up, carefull not to harm any ropes that was hanging down.

Sara~female~The North Star

Once all the crates had been lowered the female took it upon her self to be captain while the real Captian was away. "Let's get this ship goin' then!" With that she bounded towards the wheel. "Lower the main sails, but not'in' more till we get ta ta open ocean!" The Lupora barked waiting for the sails to be dropped. They had a mighty crew, that was for sure if they were worth it well that was another story. Only time would tell, hopefully this would pay off. With Tulio aboard there was no telling what was going to happen, he always managed to find nothing but trouble. Again though time would tell. The way he was going on about that nap made her suspect though that many this time they bit off more than they could chew.
