This was a ton of fun! Haven't done traditional art in years curse you shaky hands :P
Went to the wardrobe and dressed up my character, used that as my art ref :3

My valentine is paper and tissue paper. It's all I could find when I started and while I could do more now that I'm at my own place again, I am rather pleased with the result.
Inking the valentines lace pattern drawn on the first half of the heart
Using a flashlight and glass table to trace the inked pattern to the other half
Completed tracing
Aaand I skipped a few steps worth of photo taking here. Sorry! I coloured the heart, cut out the centre, and stuck tissue paper to the underside.

So this..creation was inspired by Vulpie asking how you would get a valentine from an egg. Here's how I managed to do it!
First, you need an egg. Any egg will do, but I've chosen nephini.
(it's clay)
Second, hit it with something really hard.
Third, rearrange what oozes out.
Voila, romance!~

Our brain just straight up jumped over the fact that we needed a date on these so...
uh. We added "Feb 2017" after we noticed it...

So many images, very sorry.
We made an attempt at the alfoil, then gave up on it.
Visible is the drawing we did beforehand of a heart-themed Magic Alchemy Moth lunemara (who is patting a puff, much fluffiness) that we used as a reference.
Trying to draw those hearts mirrored to eachother, very tricky. We're too much of a stickler to making things like that match to want to do a full and proper wing design.

"Dear, I like you mara than you know" (what an atrocious line. I have no idea what kind of lines are meant to go on valentines)
