Blood sighed. "We were on a mission to save a former member from the ARC.. well when we got there she was gone, and we were ambushed. Sunburst went completely nebula. But she was to injured to go on. So I teleported us back with a teleporter I found in the basement... This was about two weeks ago or so."

Frost sucked in a breath through clenched fangs. "Yikes," she said as she took her hand off the wound. "There we go," her fingerless gloves were covered in blood, but Sunburst wasn't bleeding anymore. "It wasn't long ago when a bounty hunter got to me. Killed my brother-in-law, took me hostage. It was hard to tell, but I think he was a wolf, but it was at night and this guy wore more black then a crow at a funeral," she didn't think much about this next remark. "I think Sonic saved me but I went unconscious before I could get a good look," she rolled up a sleeve revealing a bandage wrapped securely between her shoulder and elbow.

Blood threw up her head and laughed. "Sonic! Ha. That pathetic furball doesn't even know about this. Or else he'd be prepared to face a super weapon designed to kill him that's in alpha stage! Ha. And how I know this is because Star (poor thing) was put inside it with a black chaos emerald to see if she snapped. She did, and went psycho on "Wolf" then lost her memories and we found her in a water fountain knocked out. You could meet her and ask her what Robotnic's planning if you don't believe me." Her tails twitched and her hands fiddled with a tag that read: Star--subject334A Project Potential. It also had writing scribbled on it reading: Rescued, found knocked out and severely wounded, sent to a hospital as soon as possible-- "The Chosen Children".

Frosts ears flattened. "Believe what you want," she said with a flick of her tail, trying to sound professional. "There's something called 'hope', y'know,"

"Oh yes little wolf, I once had hope too." Blood's face darkened but that unsettling smile seemed fake and forced almost like a mask hiding all emotions such as fear, anger, sadness, hopelessness. "But that was 12 years ago."

"'Had hope'? You used to have hope?" Frost asked, the fur on her back bristling. She hadn't expected an answer, and the answer she did get was shocking.

Piper put her hands over her mouth in a oh no expression.

Ruby's fur stayed flat, her voice and face stayed calm. "Yes. Bristle all you want. Rose hates angry vibes as she calls them." She studied her fingers as Rose started to freak out in the middle of the living room.

Frost stopped herself, and her fur lowered. "Sorry," she said quietly. "I guess I didn't really... think I would hear... I'm just sorry. I shouldn't have lashed out like that," she looked at the floor as if it just became real interesting.

Rose inched forward. Blood backed up and let her pass. Rose stood near Frost. "It's okay. I know you didn't mean it." From far away the yellow stuff leaking from under the rose on Rose's face had looked like paint. Up close it smelled sweet and was constantly flowing where her eye probably was from under the flower on her face.

Frost looked up and nodded. "What happened 12 years ago?" She asked.
