Amethyst laughed and she kept an eye on the fish. She made sure none of them got away. She smiled happily and looked around. She spotted Uryi and Yal who were swimming along collecting something. She didn't know what though.

Heroine: Is quietly hatching an egg on Middle Island?
Kanakwella: Is being preened and flirted with by Mermydon while fetching kelp from the cascade's kelp forest.
Akega: Is keeping watch over Heroine from the shallows of Middle Island, because Sissy asked him to.
Aleria: Along with Raka and Amethyst, is bringing a haul of fish back to Cain.
Raka: Noticeable physical change to him. Assisting Aleria with fish herding, but would rather be looking for a quiet cove to spend time with his mate. He has told her about his age, death and revival.
Amethyst: Assisting Aleria with fish herding, but would rather be looking for a quiet cove to spend time with her mate. She now knows Raka was slain be the morkko and revived by an elemental spirit.
Yal: Mermydon told him about his nest near the cascade, offered to him and Uryi if they wanted to stay the night. With Uryi collecting something.
Uryi: Mermydon told her about his nest near the cascade, offered to her and Yal if they wanted to stay the night. With Yal collecting something.

Cain: Conscious but still injured and still needs medical attention.

Princess Kanakwella had said nothing and she seemed to hold still like a statue, either uncertain, or too inexperienced in relationships to know how to respond to what was happening. Her body felt less soft and more toned under his gentle press than it was when she offered him rest earlier. And the lavender scented mane was literally in his nose as he nipped and preened along the base of it. The smell accented the taste of musk exuding from her pours. He was expecting some sort of response right up until the moment Raka called him out.

[ "Mermydon, if you're about finished flirting with the filly we've got the fish ready for you!" ] [ Amethyst laughed and she kept an eye on the fish. ]

He sighed and released Kanakwella. "I suppose I will have to show my appreciation for what have done for me later. your majesty. Come now, this kelp stalk here should suit our needs well." Together they got it free in about a minute. And they began rising out of the kelp just about in time to stretch out the kelp and use it to block one side that the fish could swim through; freeing Aleria to keep the school from diving. As they approached he looked at Raka, he looked different some how. But his lateral signature hadn't changed. "Are you sure the Hallenjaxians didn't just exile you for your impeccable timing?" He asked sarcastically regarding his earlier comment. He confirmed that Uryi and Yal who were swimming along collecting something, but wasn't going to bother. He figured if it was important, Yal would at least tell Amethyst. Now that they had the kelp and the fish, they could eat their fill and hopefully revive the stranger among them and at least make him well enough to move down into Mermydon's nest. He figured it would be the best place for Meara and her patient to intern without the press of gravity interfering with their medications. Then afterward, to meet with the land-dwellers on the island.

"I am not going back to the shadow realm I have come to far already." Sagetri said. "I am going to travel with them. I need to find out what this connection is." Sagetri sprinted off. She could almost reach out and see Mermydon. But she could tell that he probably wasn't alone. Metal followed after her and didn't look back. He hoped Grim Rose would find them. Sagetri stopped once she emerged from the trees. She saw many kelpari. But where was Mermydon? She didn't know for sure but she was shocked. All these..... these sylesti were working together! They were helping each other and not fighting or at least it didn't seem like it. Their hearts all seemed to shine so brightly. It was almost like a beautiful work of art. Sagetri didn't know what to say. It was breathtaking. Metal stood beside her. "It's so......... so beautiful." Sagetri said. "They all seem to care about each other........ I want to be apart of it." Metal smiled and nudged her forward. Sagetri came closer to the water. She was afraid of something. Would they like her? She didn't know at all but she hoped they did.

Grim Rose went after them. She had decided that she would let this happen. She knew it was out her control now. She found Metal and Sagetri watching the group. Grim Rose sighed and smiled. She was back but so much had changed already. There were new comers. She noticed the kelpari that were rounding up fish. Why were they doing that? Was something hurt or was it for fun? She wanted to know badly because maybe she could help. She wanted to help whomever was hurt if anyone was hurt. She looked at Metal then at Sagetri. "I am sorry." Grim Rose said. Sagetri turned to look at her mother and she nodded. They were hidden from view still though they were in the open.

The kelp strand that Mermydon and Kanakwella brought was quite long so as they came to the surface with their bounty Mermydon and Kanakwella were able to loop the kelp around like a curtain net. From their left he saw Akega just watching them come in, while Heroine was leaping about playing with a blue kit; possibly her egg? He looked very bored just watching them and now that the egg had hatched Heroine probably didn't need him keeping watch anymore. Mermydon entrusted Kanakwella to handle the two ends of the kelp together for a little while so he address Raka and Amethyst. The kelp curtain freed them up to dive below and help Aleria hemn the fish in from the lower flanks. "Raka, we have things sewn in up here, why don't you and Amethyst help Aleria push them up." He was certain they understood the need, so he quick turned to face Akega and yelled so he would hear. "Hey Akega! I think Heroine is doing okay without you, but we could sure use a hoof getting these fish over to Meara!" Not really thinking about it at the time, but he was suddenly very glad that Raka and Amethyst went below the surface. From the corner of his right eye he could make out Metal, Grim Rose and Sagetri; they looked like smoking dots just outside of the tree line. Amethyst's discomfort with the ryori was obvious but not the why. It was a matter they would have to deal with as a group sooner than later; tonight possibly. Right now though they would need all hands on deck. He fired a light bolt from the pearl in his helm to catch their attention as well as Meara's "Fish a coming in." He called out towards all of them, "look alive and get them paws wet so we can all get in on Aleria and Raka's bounty!"

Amethyst nodded and looked at Raka. She tried to push the fish up as best as could. She looked around but didn't notice the ryori. They were invisible to her at the moment. She looked at what she was doing

Sagetri laid down her feet tucked nicely beneath her. Metal floated above the water. Sagetri followed his example. She wasn't that good at floating since her feet touched the water. She sighed and looked at Mermydon. He looked so proud of something. She didn't know what though. "No we can't go out there right now." Sagetri said and backed away. Metal followed her. Sagetri went into the forest and Grim Rose followed.

Yal and Uryi collected some kelp. They would use it for something they were sure of that. Yal helped Uryi weave the kelp together. She had thick kelp and she continued to weave. Yal went to the surface and took a deep breath. Uryi weaved together a large bag in which she could carry things. She looked at Yal and smiled.

Raka dove down under the school with Amethyst and helped her and Aleria push them up. His jovial mood had dulled somewhat at Mermydon's mention of his departure from Hallenjax. Why had he been forced to leave? Him and his mother had made their escape months before the princess was set to make her journey to shaledon and certainly long before any sort of war broke out. He had been so young when it happened that he had not really questioned his mothers reasoning before now but, thinking back on it he couldn't understand why. Had she known somthing the princess had not?

Meara~female~Kelpairi

The sound of the greenish blue stallion made her find stand on end. It simply spoiled her mood it did! Look alive, what should she? She had rounded up all of those fish earlier but no one had found any interest in them! Why should she eat these? Sour with envy she stood and stamped her foot before dragging herself over to the stallion she had saved. She couldn't let anyone near him, they may hurt him. Meara had never lost a pacient before and now was not going to be the first time.

As the herded school of fish were drawn closer to shore, they became increasingly harder to contain. Straglers were gobbled up immediately by the closest kelparie to discourage the majority of the fish from trying to swim out en masse. The kelparie were so busy keeping the fish frightened enough to stay schooled that they all were too distracted for their own private thoughts. This was work, but the mass of fishes brought in was far more than they could have done individually. But now so close to land that the kelp leaves were brushing the silt bottom it became progressively easier to keep the fish together, albeit they would occasionally try to leap ove rthe kelp. Through lateral communication Mermydon and Aleria slowly made their way towards the water's edge to keep fish on the lee side while Raka and Amethyst kept matters on the deep open lake side of the kelp curtain. When the water was well below their knees, Kanakwella and Akega took the kelp edges and slowly opened them to dry land while the leeside kelparies discouraged the fish from fleeing. "Good job everyone!" Mermydon praised the team as the fish finally shoaled in water barely deeper than their own bodies. Now that the moment was over, they could notice both the changes in Raka and Cain's condition. "Meara, if your patient needs help would you mind taking him into the shoal?" He asked her, to let her know they were done with their part of the operation; he suspected that she wouldn't have it any other way. He had also noticed that the ryori had retreated again, perhaps into the shadows, maybe into the treeline, but they were gone again. While she was moving him he took a moment to pay attention to Raka's new look. "Don't tell me that little jab over my flirting made you blue with retribution?" He asked lightheartedly.

Raka was taken slightly by surprise at Mermydon's comment. This didn't seem like the right time to explain the full story to the others.
As a result his response was somewhat flustered and dismissive.
"Oh uh, this... It, that is to say, I... I'll explain later..."
As he said this he turned away from Mermydon to glance at Amethyst, causing the insignia on the chest piece of his fathers armor to catch the light.
