This turned out to be pretty difficult, as I bought a Silvermoon pumpkin, without realizing it. Silvermoon is actually a hybrid pumpkin, unlike most albino pumpkins, which are simply homogeneous for the recessive albinism trait due to breeding, instead of cross-breeding with the squash family. Had an amazing cucumber smell to it, and a green tinge to the edge of the flesh, due to its half squash heritage. Turned out to be hard as a rock to cut through, though. I had to resort to hitting the back of my knife with a hammer to cut full thickness. As such, this didn't really turn out quite as planned. Ah well. I learned more interesting factoids from this pumpkin, such as the interbreed-ability of the squash family. :)

Gathering tools together. These toothpicks turned out to be no match for the mighty Silvermoon pumpkin!

Nibbler enjoyed watching the human toil away with the funny smelling object.

Stab, stab, hammer, hammer..

It's kinda starting to look like something?

Unfortunately, around this point, I started having serious structural integrity problems, due to the hammering.

Close up on the hair and horn 'sparkles' -- These had to remain scratch-only. I was afraid the pumpkin might have a catastrophic failure if I hammered into it anymore!

I tried, Kelpari pumpkin, I tried. XD

The female was being difficult to draw -_- Please ignore the circle on this one and the one before it, i was debating whether or not to add a moon and i ended up deciding not to add it.
This one i took later when it was dark out which is why i forgot show my username and date in this one.

The last four pictures were taken at different angles to see which angle is better.

Ok, lots of pics.... sorry.... but it was such a time carving this year!

Let me start my story....

I started looking up designs, and I found this cool Zombie... but it just looked lonely! :(
Went looking farther and found the tombstone, bat moon and tree. Started sizing and putting it together, to find I had to redo the left side of the tree, as it wasn't a "pumpkin stencil" so if I cut where they wanted... I would have had just huge holes! Finally got this done! Along with transferring the pattern to the pumpkin itself!

Finally I started carving.... what a mess! It turns out that the pumpkin was just starting to rot, so the inside was all liquid and floating seeds when it was cleaned. Tried to scrape the sides down.... but they were so crumbly!
When I started carving, it was just not cutting well at all! the inside crumbled and kept clogging up my smaller cuts, no matter how much I cleaned it! So, it was hard getting the more detailed cuts that I like to do. :(

Anyway, here is my final product, it turned out well.... despite all my problems!

Alright, my original plan for this pumpkin fell through, so I went with a slightly simpler but funny carving that utilized three areas on the pumpkin.

Here is the top cut off...

Here is the first side in progress...

Here is the second side in progress (note the different date since this took me several days to complete)...

Fast forward slightly, here are a few shots of the pumpkin to show the designs are on the same pumpkin...

String together and...
