Cullyn of the Sapling ~~ Crown Prince ~~ 5 ~~ Currently in RG
He looked up at Zarune, he seemed angry, shocked even to be blunt but wfor what reason he couldnt tell. But once told that Molly had been crying he feelt his eyes widen massivly, his face quicky carrying a anxious, worried look on his face. Molly had been crying?! B... but why havnt he been informed about it?! Al of a sudden he feelt so betrayed, stabbed in the chest and left to rot on the ground. However the child wa brought out of his thoughts as he saw the neatly wrapped hand take the cup with milk and honey that he offerd the priest. Once he got the drink back he took it only to stifen by what the man told him. Tears quickly filled his eyes and with the hopes that the priest had not seen it he simply turned around, showing him his back as the boy struggled with the tears. "now now Zarune, how can I possibly just let the one acting as my mother hang by the gallows like a simple theif?" he said in a empty, heavy tone.As he put down the cup on the table he slowly sat down on the chair, two brightblue eyes looking towards the window through golden strains of hair. In all honesty he wished for nothing more but to go look for Molly, but he dared not due to his father. His father is angry as it is so if he searched for her he might only anger the king even more. With a tired sigh he laid his head to rest on the biggest of the two books he had open and just looked at the window. "Dont you have some sort of devine protection as a priest? Because if you do, now would be a good time to use it" he pointed out in the same empty tone.

Spirited? Thats a kind way to put it to say the least. Most would call the child a nuseance and unruly, nothing but trouble. As he was offerd the cup of ale that the bard was drinking from he looked a bit hessitantly at the man. It is quiet an expensive drink for sure. But before he had been given the oportunity to actually talk to the man about it he was all of a sudden holding the drink in his hand. Wait ... how ... what? As the man asked what someone was to do with his coins he instinctivly grabed for his short sword but as he heard the familiar voice of Thea he got a sour face. That blasted vermin again? Carefully he listend to the man as he spoke to the young woman before shaking his head a bit. "You just met Thea, a orphan that is nothing but trouble. If you want I can go lock her up for trying to steal from you. The less she can cause trouble the better!" he said sipping a bit from the drink.

"Well, his highness is a werry strict and ..." he stoped talking to think of a non offensive word to use. ".. Quick to give both punnishments and rewards. So my lord should try to think about what he is saying or not even your family can do anything to help you" he warned the boy. The clans head had at one point said something and just barley avoided getting the kings army thrown upon the county he governs. The man shiverd at the thought. Sure he would have stood his ground but such a massive force ... its a scary thought.

"Hey Rose, if you get tired you can always sit on my lap" one of the guards joked with a grin, however it quickly died as the captain of the escort gave him a massive slap that if he was built like a normal man would send him of the saddle onto the ground."NEVER adress a woman in such a manner!" the captain growled at the man. "SPECIALLY not in the presence of a noble" he added in a chilly tone. "Rose, if anyone talks to you in such a manner tell me at once" he said seriously. The speed he had turned his horse and reached the man was unbelivable, before the sentence had died out he had simply turned his horse, left the young lord alone in the front and slapped the guard with a force that was not to take lightly.

Aris and Rose

Aris knew he couldn't stop any cruel judgement towards his family. It was how they would like him mainly. Would they toss him out straight away? He wasn't that important so they would have no problem with doing that. He didn't want to do something wrong or he might be killed on the spot. He could think of worse and more painful punishment but he would rather not say. He turned his head at the guards comment towards Rose. He tried to keep his anguish hidden but how dare a guard say that to another guard even if it was female. He wished he could see her reaction but he imagined she would most likely be silently swearing at the guard. He turned back to face the front. He closed his eyes and sighed.

Rose gasped silently at the comment but she was so glad that the guards had protected her. It was something all guards should do but....... but the idea of this guard trying to hit on her. She wished she hadn't just witnessed that. She would rather have served a lord for years then settle down. She wasn't so keen on marriage yet. She thought about it at times but she knew she had to serve the lord. It was her main duty as a guard. She looked at the lord. How did he feel about what had happened? She cursed silently and looked ahead of her. She would rather be away from the guard then be near him. She felt uncomfortable. Rose opened her eyes and tried to regain her calm.

Zarune~ 29 years old~ RG

Acting as his mother? The man nearly smirked at this, the joy of those words meant the world to him. She hadn't been sleeping with the king! He still had a chance to win her over, if they weren't to die together. Thank the gods above they had answered his prayers, but that thought died away quickly as the rest of what the boy said sank in. "If I fear right then it won't just be her sent to hang but the both of us. I fear that even now it matters not that I am a priest, the king thirsts for blood and he won't rest till he has just that. He called me to the court as well as Molly." Zarune said using his bandaged to rub his knee some in thought. Finn had said that he was not meant to be in the after life for some time yet, could this be covered under that as well? If so then he wasn't to die on this day but the same couldnt be said for Molly. Cullyn would never forgive him if she did! He had to think of something....

Ruairi~23 years~DC

"You know that girl?" The bard asked with a cross expression. "Why would I want to lock her up? Is there a crime in survival? Is she not allowed to live?" If there was one thing he couldn't stand it was people not taken pitty in the less fortunate. She couldn't help that she was forced to steal! She hadn't parents to teach her how to work, let alone find work. If she was young enough when she was orphaned then she wouldn't know there was anything different from what she was already doing. She just needed guidance. If he ran into her again then he would offer her some lessons in barding to hopefully promote her to try and find a better way to live. With all his heart he wished her but the best. "I'm sorry but I honestly can't see how you think like that. Now if you will excuse me I have a friend to look after." With that he bowed slightly and entered the herbalist shop.

Thea~15 years~DC

Had the front door just opened? ****** it must have been that old guard again. He usually used the shop as a place to get the herbs you smoked to make you feel better. Sicko. The fumes were enough to run you out of house and home. Carefully she peeked out from behind the counter to see the bard from earlier. What was he doing in here?! Could he not just leave her be? The doorsteps drew closer to the counter she was hiding behind though stopped when they reached the chair in front of it. He was sitting down. Did he plan on staying? Most likely. With a slight snort she crossed her arms over her chest and seemingly pouted. Great! Now she would even be able to eat what little she had found during the day! In her pouch she held a freshly cleaned sparrow, taken from a cat whom was playing with it rather than eating eat, a carrot, swiped from a field, and a leek. All would make a good meal, if the man would just leave! At the thought of the cooking food her stomach rumbles rather loudly. The man didn't move though by the way he took a breath he was flustered.
"You don't have to hide you know, I don't care if you are here or not." He announced without standing. "That is as long as you don't cause trouble." Though the girl refused to move. She wouldn't be seen like this!

Cullyn of the Sapling ~~ Crown Prince ~~ 5 ~~ Currently in RG
He looked a bit at the man in silence, in all honesty he got a bit anoyed by him, his lips twitched a bit as if he had found out something nice. Something he found wonderfull, something he enjoyed and found just perfect. It anoyed the young boy, made him furious beyond belife but the child somply swalloed his anger. Well he didnt swallow it as much as it was overwhelmed by his anxiety. "Do you ..." he stoped the sentence while he tried to find some nicer way to put his question. However the words failed him. So without an alternative to the ending he ended it as he had started it. "Do you truley belive my father is such a barberic man as to hang a priest?" he asked. The question was blunt and direct, missing every unce of tact and detailing as you might expect from someone that is part of the kings court. Specially that of the heir to the country. But for now he didnt wish for a tailored answer, all he wanted was a direct one and thus he had to be direct and frank himself!

"its no crime to survive, however there is one in stealing." he said before bowing back to the man and leaft to go take his post at the city gates once more. Once at the gates he just stood there while waiting for the shift to end. This is probably one of the most boring cities to guard to be frank. Its to big for a wandering bard to be something unusual but way to small for things to happen. The most intresting thing that happens is probably Thea going about with her ******.

She slowely started to come to as Ruairi enterd the home. Her neat and elegant body moved on the table but as she started to wake up she also begun to shiver from the cold. All she had been wearing was the dress that was still torn on one side as well cold from the water and the cloak Ruairi had lent her. So in the house it got cold without any fires burning to keep the cold autumnair at bay. She feelt the smell of herbs that had been used on her wound rather than noticing the burning sensation of them, it smelled like Stormhoof, Winterreign and ... she took a nother deep breath through her nose. Ah, onon leaves. Well its a basic but good enough concuction to be honest. Its not the most refined mixture but it is truley a mix that gets the job done. Wait, was someone near? Ruairi? Maby. she wasnt sure thought.

He glared at the man that slowly took place in the back of the line. With a glare at the guard he then turned to the girl. "Rose, I asked you a question. Will you come to me if anyone adresses you like that again?" he said in a serious tone. He had to make sure she understood that he would have her back but for that to actually mean something she needs to trust him enough to come talk about it.

Rose

She nodded and smiled weakly. She knew her trust should be shaken but it wasn't. She still trusted most of the guards and especially the head guard. She looked at him and then looked forward. She followed the lord who was now a bit ahead. She didn't know what to say or if she needed to say anything. What happened to Aris? What was wrong? Rose wasn't sure but he seemed distracted. Very distracted at the least. At least he wasn't drunk or they would all be in trouble.

Zarune~ 29 years old~ RG

The priest stayed quiet for a moment looking away. After a moment he stroked the stubble that covered his face before looking back to the boy. "I hoe stay know not what to believe anymore. By your tone though I believe that he wouldn't think of such things, that he wouldn't dare kill a man of God though by his tone when I spoke with him, I'm told a different story. I'm sorry but I have no answer for that question." This answer was from the heart, he was truly torn between what to really think. Again he grew quiet for some time before looking about the room. Was it safe to tell the child what had happened? The boy was only five, there was a chance he would never remember it anyways. "Cullyn I want to tell you something that no one but me knows, you have to promise not to tell alright?" He started looking at the boy with a serious glare. He needed to know about the conversation he had with Finn, maybe then he would understand what was going on in the man's mind. Zarune didn't want to be confused, difficult to reason with, it was just that everything now seemed to be a riddle that his mind had a trouble comprehending.

Ruairi~23 years~DC

With a sigh he stood waking over to Agrona. She was still breathing at least, that was good though he lacked any knowledge of herbs thus he had t a clue if they worked or if she needed more. Only time would tell right? "Thea right? The guard outside told me your name. I'm Ruairi by the way." He said seemingly to no one as he used his cloak to cover the woman up gently. Blankets, they would need blankets for the night. It seemed that the whole shops was filled with nothing but herbs and such, had it's owner taken all of the blankets? "If you would could you look for some blankets?" He asked in the direction of the girl. A shadowy figured appeared from behind the counter and pointed towards the single bedroom to the side.
"There's a shelf in there he keeps them on." The girl said in a mere whisper. The bard smiled and went to fetch the sheets. On his return he placed a blanket on the counter for the girl.
"You can take the bed, I don't plan on sleeping much tonight." He offered sweetly. The girl said nothing as she silently walked to the back room.

As the man looked away it feelt as if the ground was swept from under his feet. Was his father really seen as such a barbaric and crule man? The answer was nothing that he wished to hear but he couldnt blame him. He had asked the man a question, asked for his honest opinion and that was what he had recieved. With a disapointed look on his face he glanced down at the floor before looking up at the man that spoke to him. "I... " he stoped himself, took a deep breath before smiling at him. "I will listen and do as you wish, for this you have my word. What it now might be worth" he said politely as he nodded politely at his teacher. It stung a bit that the priest held his father in such thoughts, in time it would most likely spread to him. He really dont want to stand in the same light as that old goat!

As she feelt something resting over her she managed to open her eyes. "Hi there" she mumbled tiredly to Ruairi. On reflex she tried to sit up with the help of her arms but as she leaned against her injured arm she simply cursed pretty loudly while falling back onto the table. hearing a woman curse is rare. But hearing her curse so loud, severe and seriously was shockingly. It took a few moments before she stoped cursing and calmed down from her own mistake. As she did she carefully sat up with the help of her healthy arm, the injured one hanging by her side. The blanket landed in her lap and tiredly she managed to get it up around her shoulders, Warm, it feelt warm and nice. Plus it smelled reasuring of herbs.

He nodded at her before slowly turning the horse and catching up to the lord. "I do apologice for that my lord. I didnt expect them to behave in such a crude manor" he apologiced to the boy. This was humuliating! How could they missbehave like that?! Its a disgrace! Not only to the guards them self but for the lord, their army and just over all a horrible thing to do.

Aris and Rose

He didn't speak of what the guard should do to the guard as punishment. Aris frowned. "I thought these guards knew better than acting like that towards a fellow guard." Aris said. Aris looked forward and closed his eyes. He heard the guards behind him talking. He didn't care about what they said. Rose felt like the guards needed to shut up. They were talking about probably some other guard. She wanted to slap them and tell them to shut up in the presence of the lord's son.

"Shut your mouths before the head guard tells you to." Rose said her voice bitter. The guards looked at her funny. Rose rolled her eyes and looked at the head guard.

Zarune~ 29 years old~ RG

Leaning in closer to the boy the priest attempted to get on the level of the boy, though couldn't quite due to his arm. "I'll take you on your word." He whispered before again checking about to make sure no one over heard them. "I saw him Cullyn, Finn. He spoke to me and everything. I don't know how or even why he would do such a thing but he did. Know that I'm not lying when I say this but he wouldn't let the fate take me to the underworld, simply on the means that it wasn't my time yet. When he spoke he told me that I wasn't due to return for some time yet. Thus I believe, I believe that your father may not be as cruel a man as the stories say. Don't get me wrong, I still fear the man and his power but I don't believe he would go against the word of a god just to prove a point." He sat up a bit taller and let a gentle smile play over his lips. "I would never do anything to harm you, nor your family Cullyn. This was a act of stupidity, and I regret ever having brought this pain upon you though without your father's punishment I have paid still." With that he glanced down at his hand and arm. "With luck I will someday be able to return to my work though it looks a bit doubtful at the moment. If you will allow me to I will continue to teach you the ways of the art of magic though if you decline I will see to it that I leave you and your family without protest."

Ruairi~23 years~DC

A kind smile played on the man's lips as he watched and gently helped her sit up. "I'm glad to see that you are awake, though I'm afraid to ask how you are feeing." The bars sat taking a moment to set aside his gear that could easily be removed. The lute was first to go, followed by a pouch where he kept some treats for Sasha, then, lastly the money ouch was removed. The coins jingled about as they were placed on the counter drawing the shadow like girl from her hiding plac in the back room. Sasha rest neatly in her arms was she stood in the doorway watching the two adults talk and mingle about. They seemed kind enough though time would tell why appearances didn't. "I can go get the guard again if you aren't feeling better. Or maybe a meal or pint may be tempting?" A meal sounded delicious, though that was coming from a starving girl.

He raised an eyebrow at the man as he looked around, almost as if he was scared someone might overhear the two of them having their conversation. Did he honestly think someone wanted to listen to them that badly? Or was it some devinde secret only suposed to be told from the master priest to a aprentice? Nah, he wouldnt tell him that, right? But as the man spoke his jaw slowly dropped, hanging as he tried to grasp it. "w... wait ..." he said confused, scratching his head. "soo ... Finn, the horned go ... talked to you?" he asked still in shock. "Aaand he also said you wouldnt die for a while?" he added quickly. That ... its ... its not posible! He ... Oh dear gods! He had always gone around questioning their existence and they all exist?! Well he might as well go dig a bloody grave then! He have no chanse what so ever to even reach adulthood the way he have been talking about them! As he came to the realisation that he had done he felt his legs fail him and he simply ended sitting on the chair.

"Im not in the best state I have been in." she admitted As he oferd to get food and something to drink she got flusterd as her stomach growled after anything to eat. A bit anoyed at the fact that she was not able to hid it. "Eum ... yes pleace, it would be nice" she mumbled while her cheeks looked as red as the mapleleaves during autumn. "Eum ... Im sorry for beeing such a bother Ruairi" she apologiced to him. So far he have only recived bad luck as he helped her. Its kinda embarassing to be honest. She is suposed to be able to tend to her self, she is a trained assain, herblist and poison maker. There is NOTHING she shouldnt be able to manage. She should always be able to stand above any challanges yet right now, she was down on her knees. Struggling and fighting just to kjeep her head above the surface.

He cleared his throat a bit. "I do my best my lord but they are still human. Just like me the slip up every now and then" he explained as an apology. It was really embarassing for him that they missbehaved in such a disgracefull way. If they were home or had time he would give them a massive and hard punnishment for them to get through. Most likely they would have collapsed once done, unable to move from it. "I will talk to them once we stopfor the night my lord" he promissed the boy with a polite smile. It would give them a fair amount of houers to dread what would come.
