Though that would mean they can't breed right? <.<

Since babies can't actually... Um... Mate...?

Of course. They'd just be pretty little babies to snuggle.

What Coda said :P Plus, it might help the pet pop stop multiplying by the thousands. It might help newbies not overbreed their stables and not afford to feed them, things like that. Full support! (also I can see where it may cost less to feed a baby?)

alhow it sounds nice with the idea's that we have already heard about maby hatchery geting a limet to the amound of pages like stabels and having to pay for more hatchery pages. these baby's would get in the way and yes they are cute but kinda useles. becaus they can't battle or do missions or anything just sit there.

Well, we have the Philters of Unlearning and of Learning. There could be Philters of Un-aging and of Aging, or perhaps the Peter Pan Philter and the Grow Up Philter. The pet would still have to move into the Stables when it had existed long enough to require moving into Stables, and of course it couldn't get stat increases from Nurturing while under the influence of an Un-aging Philter, nor could it fight, go on Missions, or breed. However, it could look very cute.

An alternative might be a pet costume; call it Babyface. This costume merely replaces the pet's usual appearance while sitting in its stall with that same pet's Hatchling appearance.

I am not certain how this would affect the game program. However, I think it possibly could work as follows (red added to certain text to make it easier to see). My Starter pet, Calamander, will help me to explain.

Wait, what?

The code for Calamander's image normally looks like this--

https://www.sylestia.com/image_builder_pet.php?species=zolnixi&breed=sylesti&gender=male&gd1=NN&gd2=EE&gd3=NN&md1=NN&md2=NH&md3=NG&ec=83c8b4&c1=e23913&c2=fff0a5&c3=FCF1A7&gd1c=2f1b13&gd2c=fefcfc&gd3c=0e3759&md1c=edb554&md2c=74a6c9&md3c=3d1071&maturity=648&costume=0&size=250

The code reads "costume=0", because Calamander is not wearing a costume in this image.

If I put a Father Winter's Helper Costume on him, Calamander will look like this--

Well, this is not so bad.

--and his image code will look like this--

https://www.sylestia.com/image_builder_pet.php?species=zolnixi&breed=sylesti&gender=male&gd1=NN&gd2=EE&gd3=NN&md1=NN&md2=NH&md3=NG&ec=83c8b4&c1=e23913&c2=fff0a5&c3=FCF1A7&gd1c=2f1b13&gd2c=fefcfc&gd3c=0e3759&md1c=edb554&md2c=74a6c9&md3c=3d1071&maturity=648&costume=father_winters_helper&size=250

The Babyface costume would not be a costume as such. Instead, this "costume" would change the image code's maturity number to "73" (the maturity number of a Hatchling who is about to become a teenager). If I were to put a Babyface Costume on Calamander, he would then look like this--

If I hadn't been a Starter, I would have been a beautiful puppy!

--and his image code would look like this--

https://www.sylestia.com/image_builder_pet.php?species=zolnixi&breed=sylesti&gender=male&gd1=NN&gd2=EE&gd3=NN&md1=NN&md2=NH&md3=NG&ec=83c8b4&c1=e23913&c2=fff0a5&c3=FCF1A7&gd1c=2f1b13&gd2c=fefcfc&gd3c=0e3759&md1c=edb554&md2c=74a6c9&md3c=3d1071&maturity=73&costume=babyface&size=250

For this approach to the Eternal Baby idea, the pet is not really a baby but just looks like one while "wearing the costume." Just as a pet can fight, go on Missions, etc., while wearing the Father Winter's Helper Costume, a pet would be able to do all of these things while looking like a Hatchling--it's just a costume.

Thoughts?

this sounds good. it solves all the probems i had with the idea of the philter becaus that would make it useles and with this you would still have a fully funcional pet that just looks cute. so yes i suport this 100%
and i alsow think this would be the first costume a majoreti of the players will have intrest in. becaus everyone will have a pet they wished had not grown up becaus they looked so cute as hatchling.

I really like the Costume Idea and being able to still battle with them! and being that costumes remove all mutations anyway I think that would work. I back this 100%! really hope this goes through
