Shell of course leaped over the river and crushed a crow beneath her foot. "EWWW!!" she squeaked feeling crow guts mush under her talon.

Knuckles stared at Shell, disturbed. YOU COULD'VE JUST SWAM!!! he wanted to yell, but instead he said: "Like I said, Watch your step. And I am going to pretend i didn't see that," He was internally horrified, but he didn't let Shell know that. "And please, don't crush any more animals,"

Shell looked like she was going to barf, but she nodded and carefully lifted her talon up and made her way around the crushed animal.

Knuckles said something under his breath and huffed. It was bound to happen, I just hoped I wouldn't be present. He looked at the chaos emerald, which was pulsing. Shrugging, he picked up his pace.

She too quickened her pace to catch up with Knuckles. She could still feel her talon all covered in red liquid-y stuff on it leaving foot-prints.

After trotting a bit longer, Knuckles stopped suddenly in a small clearing. He looked around the area and picked up a small stone. He hurled it several yards and watched it land. "Huh," He growled when nothing happened. He continued walking, alert as ever.

An hour and a half later

"WELP, that was fun, wasn't it?" Sonic said, leaning up against one of the consoles. "I'd better get going, though. We should do this again sometime for sure,"

This was the spot. Tails knocked on the door and waited. It was almost 10:00 but he didn't mind. He waited a minute before knocking again. "Eclipse? You home?"

Shell slid quietly across the ground never letting her guard down.

Knuckles flicked his head upward. "That's weird," he growled. He put his hand on a tree and looked over it's branches. "Rigged. C'mon. We're going around,"
