Not quite sure what happened in a battle with Malgron last night...
I was saving up all my mana for one last-ditch finisher, so I know I had plenty of mana...

(Kit died next turn while stunned)
He had just enraged two turns before, so this was his first Seismic Annihilation while enraged.
Like I said, I am sure I had enough mana, probably over 100 on each party member.
So I have no idea why block did not block his attack. :-(

Battled malgrond just a minute ago, used block, and one of my Super Lupora Project (SLP) lupora * http://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=197086 * was hit for 6,146 critical damage from that stupid Seismic Annihilation... and apparently, I'm not the only one who's had this happen to them! This is definitely a VERY lame bug, considering my main tank has only 5.7k hp, not 6.1k!
*had to edit, cuz I accidentally posted my off tank, which wasn't tanking at the time. XD

I just needed to celebrate somewhere that I finally defeated Malgron! Thanks for the tips everyone!

On my first try I brought him down to 0% and lost!! x_x I could of beaten him but my computer wouldn't load the Party Manager screen so I couldn't swap a low-health pet with a high-health pet so he just plucked my sylestia off 1 by 1! Oh well, better luck next time. ;(

I beat him, I beat him!!!
But oh, I though he was going to win again!
all of my pets had, like 6% of health left!
I case it might help someone else, I'll give my team build.
3 Ny'vene, all 3 Water element
All proficiancy points to Strength.
lead pet - All level ups to health
pet 2 - 70 points to health, 30 to Strength.
pet 3 - 50/50 Health and Strength.
Gear:
lead pet - All Myth: Talon's Emblem, Talon's Armor, Braclet of Force x2
Pet 2 - Talon's Emblem, Indomintable Aspiring Gladiator's Armor, Bracelet of Force x2
Pet 3 - Indomintable Aspiring Gladiator's Relic, Indomintable Aspiring Gladiator's Armor, Bracelet of Force, Bracelet of Shadows

I finally just beat Malgron, with the help of all the tips here, especially MistDragon's builds.
Thank you all very much for the information. I can start on my next team now! c;

I just beat him for the first time. I think the thing is to draw out the battle when he's above 30% for as long as possible. Which means no finishing blows until after he is below 30%. This will help you use mend more times during the battle so your health will be higher. Then when he is below 30%, use the finishing blows after he uses the eyeball things because you need the mana to block.

Just tried your method along with the double blocking to avoid being stunned and I finally beat him! Took long enough, but thanks for the good advice!
