Now I sortof do like the mystic head fins and foxface but its hard to coordinate. I do not like the saltwater beta, for similar reasons that spaceelf mentioned. I would love some kind of tentacle look for the vorps or seaweed backs. We do need some more flowing features for them.

I didn't see this earlier, and I decided I wanted to weigh in and talk with you about lovely seamonkey traits <3

I definitely agree with you about a lot of these! I know I personally feel like I over-use the Water Sprite G2, but it's so hard to argue with how well it goes with everything. I mean... I used it in my Lilypads, and I'm using it in my Paradise Water Dragons, and if I ever get around to that project in my overabundance of plans, I'll use it in my Spring Cosmos...

I also really love all the sparkly Lotus traits, so... I also fall into the trap of planning designs that are "all the lotus all the time"...

But I do try to play with using different G1 and G2s when I go for all the lotus traits.

I'm not as much of a fan of Seashells for 6 vis designs, but only because my favourite part of the mutation, the little necklace, disappears when the vorps have wings. :(

Since I usually only plan 6vis designs, I don't really go for Foxface Rabbitfish and the like - it oftentimes feels like a waste of the slot, and if you don't cover it up with the Saltwater Betta - which I really love to see in certain designs where the little dots pop out at you, such as in my non-themed design for "Starry Night" vorps (a project I put on the backburner) - the face just feels... really ugly to me with Foxface Rabbitfish. And often I like to use the G2 to bring some more balance to the colour of the design, especially if I picked a more mono-colour G1.

And I 1000% agree that there are a number of... very ugly traits. And I will also look at the Leafy Seadragon Head Fins with you. Even with the Leafy Seadragon Fins M1, the Head Fins look horrible, and that's... really disappointing, because sometimes I feel like the M1 could be so good in a design, or at least just something different and I like to use matching traits. Which is the reason I'm so torn over what to pick for the M3 of my Plumeria vorp project! I love the Floating Lotus, but it's hard to go past matching the Mystic Fins and Mystic Head Fins... ^^;;

And since I love matching traits, I also share your disappointment about how Amazonian G2 doesn't go with the G1 at all... though I don't dislike the G2 Amazonian in and of itself as a trait - obviously, since I picked it for that Conjuror design above! - I was more disappointed that the G1 didn't match it nicely. I actually dislike the G1 more than the G2 when they're considered as individual traits, myself. ^^;;

When it comes to traits I find ugly... I personally cannot stand the Spooky Fog M3. It just... looks ugly to me. I don't like the way the fog sits, and often it just looks kinda bleh on themes, the colours just not sitting right together the way the trait is designed. And I don't really like the Naga Armor and Naga Helmet because they obscure a lot of the gene traits, and I like to be able to see most of those! I picked them for a reason! Haha.

Having said that, I think the Naga traits as concepts have the potential for prettiness within them, so I think I have some hope in my heart that one day they could be nice. ^^;; Maybe if the Naga Armor wasn't so plain and was a little more like Pearl Armor or something... but I think Spooky Fog is always going to be doomed for me. ^^;; I don't like the Creeping Fog on Kelparis, and that's a recent-ish revamp that could be considered comparable as a trait concept.
