If you clear off the design from your other post now so no one can see it, I'll let you do something similar this time since it's the first round. In the future, if it happens again (though I doubt anyone would make the mistake twice), you'll have to start all over.

As different as you can make it, and still be happy with the design is best. Again, this is the first round, and I think I can be a bit more lenient. Just make a few versions and send them to me and I'll let you know what I think. Does that work for you?

Actually, now that i think about it, does it have to be a PRECIOUS gem, or just a gem commonly used in jewelry? 'Cause there's a bunch used in jewelry that aren't considered 'precious'. Also, just crystalline gems, or do minerals like Jade or Lapis Lazuli count too? (Not gonna use those since i mentioned them but as an example) You mentioned pearls, so i'm assuming organic gems are ok. Just wanna verify before i pick one.

(Like i said i really like pretty rocks so i have a huge range of options i just wanna make sure i don't choose one that doesn't count)

Yeah, I would definitely allow something like Jade and such (my dad actually collects jade that he finds). I guess I just didn't know how else to word it other than Precious Gems. I guess the point really is for it to be something used in jewelry. Again, this is the first round. We're sort of "working out the kinks" so to speak. The important thing is that everyone shows their best work. Thanks for the question, though, it was a really good point. :)

Hehe, i have one good piece of jade(the rest turned out to be Aventurine...).

So as long as it's a gemstone of some sort, not like, limestone, and it goes in jewelry. Got it, just wanted to be sure! I totally get it, i've only seen one other contest anywhere near this and they're conducting it totally differently, so i'd be surprised if there WEREN'T a few kinks!
