Well, me makes me think of a burnt piece of wood, like something left in the firepit that just got a little scorched, but made it through the fire. Maybe something along the lines of Charred or Charcoal?

I like the idea, he does remind me of trees and nature in general. I'll try to come up with something relating to your suggestions. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.
Just a heads up in case anyone's interested, as soon as he becomes an adult I plan on making him available for breeding for 1g.

It's a fitting name... I could definitely picture him wandering a bit cautiously amid a cluster of aspen trees.
