Fall to me, is entirely Halloween. My girlfriend and I spent the entire month making up ghost stories to scare each other with, and this is the result of one such story. (This isn't the exact story as we did them verbally and my GF and I can't remember *exactly* what she said,)
"In the very beginning of human history, many a household was superstitious. Nowadays, most people brush it off as a tale for children. And let them we shall. For the children are, after all, the ones effected by this tale.
Children, for the most part, are creatures built on impulse. How easy it is for a child to stray from the path because of a flash of color. How easy, for a creature hidden deep in the shadows to creep forward. Eyes gleaming in hidden intent, paws silent through fallen leaves. Details are hard to make out, but there are wings stretched out behind, glinting with an odd metallic tint, and bloody, tattered cloth wrapped around its lean body. It waits for its victim to be lured farther into its shadows, patterns long ago etched into skin bleeding still and giving an eerie glow. Superstitious you may not be, child's tales they may be. But such beasts live and thrive in the ignorance of children, following glowing blood long since dried on the skin of a metallic monster."

My Ryori is based off of the frosted leaves here.
Because most mornings when I wake up, that's what I see, the colorful, frost covered leaves. It's really quite beautiful

I was thinking of generic spooky halloween stuff and kinda got fixated on spiders.

My little guy is based off the changing of the seasons and the various colors of the leaves on the trees around our home. He's sporting star runes and tempest armor and wings which look leaf like in nature to me.

My Ryori is based off of a haunted cemetery because when I think fall, I think Halloween, and when I think Halloween, I think cemetery.
