So I worked on this pumpkin for like, 5-6 hours. Was done free-hand, but I did look at a picture for reference. I've never carved a pumpkin quite like this but it was still lots of fun.

I thought that this would be the most appropriate subject for this pumpkin contest, and I have to say that after carving and the in-game hunting, I have really fallen in love with Ryoris.

And my digital: (it's a wolf)

So we finally carved pumpkins last night, a little late but still fun.

Ive had this design in my head basically since last halloween but quickly drew it out before I drew it onto the pumpkin. I started drawing the design on the pumpkin before I remembered about the contest(I draw in sharpie before I start cutting so I know where to shave the inside.) so I got a picture of it shortly after I'd done the bottom(I draw from the bottom up x.x)

Cut open and gutted

I didnt get to use a Jack like I usually do but I was happy when I found out that the skin just beyond the rind had a really dark green color to it which faded into yellow about half an inch in. It made shaving the Pumpkin really interesting so I was able to kinda texture places with different colours(Yellow and green) when I normally wouldn't be able to. Most of it though was a happy little accident. XD

And after letting it dry a bit and relining the black where I needed it.

And then Lit up with the Black Lamp

So I thought about not putting these up because I wasn't especially pleased with how it came out, but decided to anyway. It's no where near the level of most of these but I did have fun.

Supposed to be a crazy really a-symmetrical face with a twitchy eye, But the pupils were very hard for me, haha. Also guess the eye was too far off to the side for it to sit quite nicely, as you can see when I turned it to try and get a better picture. Also, eyebrows are really hard to carve. :(
