awesome guide, if by the end of stat breeding I also wanted a certain looking pet, how do u recommend to do it??
I though that I should at least make the g1 children have all the genes I wanted so that by the end of stary breeding I could have at least something similar

the projects I have in mind have around 3 to 4 visible max

EDIT:

I think I'm getting the hang of getting a maxed pet the way I like but still any advice is appreciated haha

lets say that in G1 ((blue and purple))
I have pet1 with 2 carried genes and pet2 with other 2 carried genes

their child, generation 2 will have all the genes necessary and from generation 3 onward i can start using philters knowing that the philtered pet parents ARE 4 carried.

This is amazingly handy. Thank you for the all the information. The most common answer I got for the question of stat breeding didn't tell me much beyond how to increase the base stat of a hatchling. This, however, gave me better details so I at least know that stats CAN be inherited. Thank you again.

sorry aha, I was moving throughout the weekend and didn't have the time to sit down and write a reply til now

The thing is, doing a stat project (in my opinion) is WAY different from doing a visible project, and vice versa.

For example, look at this chart I made. It's how pairing any trait to any trait works, and what the rates of things carrying to the offspring are.

In your example, you're breeding a pet with 2 carries to a pet with 2 carries.
This depends if they're the SAME (ab x ab, for example) carries or DIFFERENT (ab x cd) carries.

If you bred carries with same carries (ab x ab), you have a 25% chance of nothing carrying onto the offspring, which can screw up the stat project (as stat projects assume ALL your pets are successful and do not need a second try to breed a successful breeding to continue).

If you bred a pet with different carries (ab x cd), you have a 50% of nothing carrying onto the offspring.

So unless you have enough philters and time to make up for the differences, it's rather risky.

The children in generation 2 might not have the traits needed to keep your project going further, which prolongs the stat portion of it. It may take multiple tries to get successful carries through, and you cannot really continue your project without it.

So I suggest keeping your projects separate. Once you have 2 sets of unrelated pairs of 3-4vis parents, you can start adding stats to the project.

Good luck :)

Both would require quite a lot of time in their own respective projects aha

Thank you for reading ;w;

If there are any additional questions you have or anything that I can clarify to add to the guide, feel free to ask. c:

I still need to come up with an example, but it should be easy enough.

I like your guide ^^ im in more need of a max stat team rather than a visible project ((which wont help me in battles at all))

so ill work first on getting 6 max stat pets no matter their looks then ill worry about looks ^^

It's a great guide, but I got a little lost - I think due to this small error

Purple C2 should be from pC x pD correct?

Oh, woops, didn't see that. The copy pasting is strong aha.

I'll fix it when I get back to my room. c: it'll probably be a messy scribble out though, aha.

Edit, but yes, you're correct. c: it should be pC and pD.
