Pets that aren't in battle will revive and heal over time so long as they are not starving.

You can obtain revival draughts and healing elixirs via buying them from the Market or as a random chance from mission satchels obtained from doing missions

You can spend gold at the sylesti plaza to fully heal all party pets.

(I'd suggest using the last one only if you're desperate, because BOY does the cost stack if you use it a lot)

I just started today and currently have 5 creatures (3 adults, an eggling, and a hatchling). I just unlocked the Umbra Forest but am at a slow point now. I need to get to 25k gold in order to expand my party to 3. What's the best way to get gold besides just spamming the Viridian Forest areas. The next questline is too difficult for my creatures right now. My other question is regarding skill points. My 3 active creatures are 20+ in level, are there any points that I've acquired and not used yet? They are attuned to elements and used their 1 proficiency point but I've not received any points for leveling.

The easiest way to earn gold is to do missions. You should be able to do them in the town already.

If you can, eventually set aside pets to specialise in missions. So you'll add all their points, and equip them, to only one stat. Then use them for the missions that require that stat. This will increase your chance of completing the mission and getting the highest rewards.



With regards to points, the only one you can add is the proficiency points. The "level up" points were phased out quite a while back. Pets now earn a certain amount automatically each time they level up.

I also joined recently and was curious about the elements. Right now I've got 3 journeying characters, one wind, one fire, one water. Is there somewhere that says what is best for a great team? Ping me if you know. Thanks!

I found this to be a very useful guide when I returned to the new battle system. However ultimately the best set up depends on how you prefer to fight.

Go to explore > party.

Click the red minus sign to remove your pet. Then at the bottom, you can choose your pet from the drop down list, then click the green plus sign to add them to your party.
