I'm not very skilled at making this look official but you get the idea.

These are two mutations that go together, vine/leaf crown and vine/leaf bracers (I suppose they could work together in one mutation slot but it really depends, I mean ethereal armour and ethereal headress are seperate after all).

EDITED because of my sentence structure being horrible.

Also by one official entry, do you mean only one mutation/idea?

HELLO IM NEW

So, disclaimer: i have no idea what the color mapping restrictions are on mutations so sorry if this is too many colors

But basically, my design is based of medieval heraldry, as in crests of arms and such.

Often times heraldics crests have armored helms on them, often with crowns of the family's symbol on top, such as animals or symbols or plants and things.

This design is supposed to essentially be that, with the tree branches being the heraldic crown, while also doubling as antlers, because stags were important symbols. There's supposed to be two seperate tree-antlers, but this straight-on angle makes it difficult to see. The female's pose would prolly allow it to be seen much easier

Now this is a pretty complex design, i know. The ribbon is another commonly seen symbol on heraldic crests, as well as the design on the fabric, which is called a Fleur-de-lis. It's was a very common and neutral design popular in medieval days, sorta smiliar to how argyle is a popular design now. The Fleur-de-lis is actually a highly stylized lily flower. Fleur = flower and lis = lily in french

the helmet was inspired from human closed faced helmets, and the rest (neck armor and cape) is actually inspired by horse armor.

here's the design without the ribbon, if you feel it makes it too complex or if you want to see it without

and here is my suggested color mapping, but obviously you can change as you see fit. the leaves were kept green bc im not sure if they should share mapping with something.

if you wanted to you could just get rid of the tree branch antlers instead, since it might be too many colors and i find it looks p rad without them

the design is essentially exactly the same for the female

So apparently I'm not very good at the whole spring-themed part, but luckily it wasn't mandatory, so here's my idea.

This is called Glow (or Orb Glow) and would probably be in Mutation Three along with Western Saddle, Dragon Whiskers and Carousel. It would use whatever color was chosen for that mutation slot.

I already drew this up before I realised this competition was on. And seeing as Chinese New Year is also known as Chinese Spring Festival (at least according to travel guides and Wikipedia), I hope something Chinese wouldn't be too much of a stretch. This is based on the Fu Dog.

Note: The blue markings is the result of me toying with the idea of making the scales look more decorative. And on the back legs, those are bangles.

First try at something like this... Yay for Paint! (and sorry that it turns this background black...)

Faeloras need some love. And my idea was to make the vines on their legs bloom for spring. So, a few buds, a few flowers. I put some on the antlers too, but then I realized that could be a whole separate mutation.

What even does Spring represent to me :U aside from homework that is

(please excuse my atrocious drawing skills;;;)

I give you the Floral Headdress! These would go in mutation slot two. The ladies would have some sort of decorative flowery headpiece, and the males would have something looking a little more like the Lupora's Jeweled Horns - not so much actual horns attached to their heads, but a crown type deal with horns there, that the Ny'vene would wear. (that floating thing on the male is supposed to be some sort of gem? I dunno)

The flowers/horns would be colored by the mutation slot two color; the centers of the flowers, floating gem, and crown part by the eye color; and the leaf colors by color three.

Edit: whops hehe I can read the rules I promise;;
