I...tried to make a swirly, flower-based but not obviously flowery...thing. And now it looks more like tattoos XD Wave tattoos, to be specific...but alas, they are supposed to be petals/flowers XD (They'd be a good gene for gene slot 2, since most of slot 2 covers slot 1 v.v)

Loosely based off of a leopard frog, thus the green spots. Frogs just make me think of spring and the nephini looks quite happy with some large spots.

It's been a tough choice, as I have made two gene designs for the Zolnixi, but I think I came to a decision on which to post here. xD



Gene Two: Sunkissed Fur (or Sunkissed Glow?)
I felt like the current Gene 2s for the Zolnixi were kinda snowy and muddy (in a sense) over the Gene 1s that already existed. I felt like it was kinda cluttersome on 6vis nixis. xD
I wanted to go for a subtle overlay of either one color (bottom) or two colors (top), not hurtful to the general design of Gene 1s, but still there, like a hint of color, like a light endowed hints of its color onto the fur, y'know?

I didn't mean to make the colors emit off the fur. xD; (but it'd be cool if it had glow emitting off anyways, but I still didn't intend for that to happen, I just wanted to make it "soft" with an airbrush)
I just kinda wanted a G2 that layered lightly upon the original fur. Like it bathed in light and a faded bleach color came from it, which would be the gene 2 color. (If the gene were to incorporate 2 colors like the top design, the 2nd color can be like...either Color 3 or Mutation 1 (tri-tails, which doesn't show any color at the moment even when visible) or Eye color.)
Just like a simple overlay of light fur, I guess. Hard to describe. xD; Kinda like how Ryori Nebula and Sylvorpa Iridescence is there, but hardly there, y'know?
(Ooh, that's a good idea, have the Gene color be spread out in subtle hints over the entire body like how those genes are!)

Okidoke...this is my first time doing this, so I'm a little nervous about sharing my idea xp

Whenever I think of spring, I think of ladybugs, butterflies, and bees. For my design, I decided to focus around ladybugs. ;3

The gene would be named 'Ladybug' and would go into the first gene slot for Lunemaras.

My example is coloured and designed based on...well...a ladybug xp
The lighter gray along the stomach would be colour1, while the colour above that would be the gene colour1
the white markings I hadn't really figured out a colour slot for, and the wings I left blank since the gene design doesn't affect them at all.

also, since I don't remember seeing the question answered in earlier posts...we're allowed to enter the other design contests as well, right?

because I also have an image of it in conjunction with the mutation....which i will be posting to its correct thread, of course xP
