I think you meant egglings, not hatchlings. I just tried & it wont let you.

If you used to mark pets to release by putting a price tag on them, you can still do it by putting it on sale to your own player ID, so it's on "private sale" to yourself, and you can see that it is on sale.
Just tested it and it works. It's just an extra step per pet now.

Nope i meant pets that hatched already. I thought you couldn't release hatchlings cause of nurture exploits during contests.

ooh, thank you for telling me i will be doing that!

Only egglings can't be released, so one can't breed, nurture, and immediately release.
Hatchlings can be released. I've unintentionally released some before, so I know it can be done. ^^"

No biggie. I bought massive stable space and most of mine go to stables for sales anyway. I pretty much just leave the ones that didn't turn out the way I liked in the hatchery to be auto-released.

Well this sure sucks for players without excess stable space trying to sell project pets. Once again making things so much easier for the pay to win players :/
Edit for clarity:
Consider: You're a newer player. You already have a horribly difficult time earning gold because that's just how the game works. You've got a couple of project pets, maybe they're regens, maybe they're a nice themed pair, whatever. Have fun earning money now.
Scenario 2: You're like me and you project breed. You got some pets that didn't have the traits you wanted but they're still very nice themes. You can no longer even offer them for sale. Players like me that buy project reject themes to add to my theme collection no longer have that option. Have fun.
"it's extremely detrimental to one of the core premises of the game" Sir this is a hoarding game. Like Pokefarm, like Howrse, like Flight Rising. The core premise of the game is to hoard crap. Many of us hate breeding projects.
Sure, you can earn gold, sell for diamonds, etc. The only reason I have so many stables is because I'm mentally ill and used this game as a coping mechanism for far too long. This game was a distraction from my crappy mental state and I obsessed over it. A normal, healthy person would not have this unless they're paying real money.
Edit 2: I realize upon rereading this that this came off extremely snippy, that was not my intention

Its not though. You can get stables through contests and upgrade them with gold. Can also convert gold to dias to buy stables. This is honestly not a bad change for anyone. A healthier economy is better for everyone

Hi krin the only issue i see here is: how do i know when eggs are due to hatch and where are they?
I think i will just leave eggs in my hatchery till they hatch.
Edit. Thought of something else. nvm i was told it was only public sale that was affected. But the idea about a return to hatchery button is still a valid one xD
Edit 2. I moved an egg to me stable to see how it worked. I see a real issue with the fact that the stable pic doesnt change when they are ready with a broken egg icon like in the hatchery. Still this makes me giggle and i thought i would share.
