Welcome, hope you're having fun. :)

I've seen you in region chat, and lol, you're doing much better with the fest than I did when I was a noob. I joined in the middle of winter fest and barely even noticed, let alone worked out the mechanics of fests until around the fortune event/spring fest :P

Hello and welcome! I've seen you a fair bit in region chat before - definitely thought you were an older player because I was not this put together as a noob :p glad you're enjoying the game so far and feel free to reach out with any questions or if you just wanna chat!

Ah thank you both for the kind words ^^ In all honesty I just became fixated on this game and figured I'd do the best I could since I didn't join too far into the fest. Looking forward to seeing the mechanics of the other 3 seasonal fests, and good luck finishing your gardens if you haven't already :)

Hi Bumblebird :)

Welcome to Sylestia!

Like Silver, I have seen you a lot in region chat without realising how new you are! Glad to see that you are already hooked on Sylestia. It's a great game with a fantastic community and game designers who are really approachable and involved with the player base. :)

Glad you are looking forward to the other 3 seasonal fests - each has it's own distinctive features. There are several 'mini-fests' over the year too, the next being the Patriotic Fest, around Independence Day.

See you around :P

Bit late for a welcome , but hopefully you're enjoying yourself.
If you do end up with questions, I'm usually stalking the Q&A forum and can get on newbies questions pretty fast- there's also the player guides section

Will note that as you may have noticed, breeding mechanics are a bit different from FR- FR has the whole set colour wheel, and genes are a 'rarity of x gene vs rarity of y gene determines percentage chance of inheritance', while sylestia has the whole colour spectrum and uses punnett square genetics
(and the whole fact that dragons on fr have their base stats 100% determined by their breed as a single static set so you can't breed for better stats, while Sylestia, base stats of any species can be improved over generations of breeding up to the cap)

honestly I personally think Sylestia genetics is easier than FR, since FR there's no indicator on the genes themselves what rarity they are, you have to actively go look it up or just. remember the entire gene rarity tier list?
Sylestia has what I find a much more simple "each trait in any given slot is assigned a letter, and dominance of a trait is determined by letter placement in the alphabet" with A being most dominant then B, then C etc. down the alphabet, with any hypothetical Z's that would be the most recessive (I believe X is the furthest down the alphabet any sylesti has thus far?) (excluding N which is Nothing and most dominant), so you can determine the ratio chance of an offspring of two tested pets getting any given gene from them really easily. But that might just be me coming from my biological sciences oriented household
