sorry to come back here again but after looking at it i think I know my main issue,

The head and body are almost, the exact same length. I think better blending the fluff into the body would be a fix for this as some suggest but as it is right now the body parts remind seem like separate entities

they look great! i just have a few problems with them.

1. they need F L U F F (i feel that the male should be fluffier maybe looking more akin to Wyrdeerfrom pokemon legends arceus)

2. i dont know how this one would go but maybe try leaning more heavily into the leafy nature theme you got going, maybe add some berries, buds and flowers to the hoof vines

3. as the tail seems to be more like a whitetail deer, the female's tail should be slightly thinner, and the male's should be noticeably thicker, lastly, i think the fawn's tails should be more of a thick branch because they arent very fluffy until they mature.

aside from that, i thin they look absolutely amazing

I agree with everything you said, I feel like they should relate more to actual deer. Not to take away from the fantasy aspect but to be biologically correct and to give the design a more genuine feel to it.

So honestly I love the new faeloras but there are a few edits I made.

My Edits

First of all, the adult male's neck is a bit empty so I added a few vines but don't do them as clumsy as mine! I also bent the adult male's front right leg and on the hatchling male, I bent the front left leg. It just makes it more natural like the adult male is getting ready for an antler fight for dominance and the hatchling male is playing. To also make it look like the adult male was going to battle, I turned the front left leg a little. The hatchling female's head looked a little empty so I added a tiny flower. The adult female looks fine, I don't know if anything is wrong with her but I will edit if I find out!

Let me know if the link doesn't work please!

ok, gonna repeat myself a lot from the last version but i'd just posted that lol so here goes.

the nose leathers are rather feline, deer noses are more boxy or x shaped.

adjust the shading on their backs and thighs a little to make them shinier? fae have a very shiny look that makes them look kinda metallic with certain colors. it's one of my favorite things about them

the adult's necks still have issues, the male fluff def looks like a tail and the female has that line thing going on.

other than that the fawns and female look great. i really like them

the male though...... he's really cute but he should be majestic. faelora are stocky, majestic deer. like, elk but with bigger antlers. he looks young/underweight, even for a white-tail. i'd like him to have stockier legs, larger hooves, stronger jaw, longer nose, and much longer antlers.

my depiction of this for the last version

also, as mentioned, yea his leaves do look like tentacles

i'd also like to see his head held higher. makes him more confident looking and looks good with the headdress

I am not a professorial artist by any means so what I'm saying should probably be taken with a grain of salt, but the proportions on the adult female legs makes the perspective look off and makes the body look longer than it actually is. I think doing what Scathreoite suggested and proportioning the front legs so they match might fix this along with making the body flow better. Along with that, blending the neck fluff of the male adult into the body a bit more will help stop the head from looking like a separate entity.

Now this is more of a suggestion for future coloring than anything but the way the white patch under the male adults head curves into the side of the neck makes it look unnaturally twisted, blending it into a slight point down the center of the neck will help that a bit.

I do really like how sharp the shading on the adult males face is, it gives it some definition and makes it look less pancake like compared to the original design. Personally I would have liked to see this reflected onto the adult female face, but this gives me far less of a problem compared to my other two criticisms.

Overall, I do really like the direction that this redesign is going and kudos to the art team for all the work they've put into this.

I drew up a new mutation2 idea with the revamp art because i'm so excited about this lol. Should I wait to post it during a contest, should put it in the suggestion forum, or here?
