Shining Garnet Griffi

I love gems! My favorite gem is spessartine, which belongs to the garnet group.I was inspired by this because garnet is the stone of January.

As a child, I grew up in the inner city. My father had his own shop, self employed, and worked pretty much all the time in order to keep the family afloat. Sometimes my mother couldn't watch us kids, so my father would take us with him to the shop for the day. But we always stopped to get breakfast at this greasy spoon diner he loved. The waitress there knew him, and us, and in the winter months always brought us huge mugs of hot cocoa, piled high with peaks of whipped cream. We'd fill up on that practically, and Dad usually had to get to go containers of our breakfast that we ate later in the day.

This griffi was created from that fond winter memory. Of hot cocoa and whipped cream piled so high that when I drank it I got some on my nose.

Just mostly Christmas ornaments and my love of mythical creatures.

My Griffi based on a snowstorm in the north where the aurora borealis is visible.

My idea was lightly based on the idea of last minute holiday shopping.

As soon as I read that we needed a winter theme and inspiration I knew immediately what my inspiration would be; The aurora borealis over a fresh snowfall!
I took the color palette of an aurora I actually have as my desktop wallpaper.

I have always had a love for the Aurora Borealis and raindeer so I tried to combine them

This design is inspired by the elf on the shelf, I remember when I was little my parents introduced me and my siblings to ur elf on the shelf and it was a magical moment^^.
