Yes! I have an idea on hand, but are there any word limits or minimums? Any specific themes I should be following?

The answers to your questions can be found in the 'Submission Rules & Guidelines' post, but to reiterate, no word limit/minimums, you can use the prompts given by Ahndrach but you do not have to.
Also, you have been added to the participants list! Welcome to the land of the wandering winds.
Also, I'm participating. :D Or..can I participate?

I would have preferred you followed to rules and let me know that you would enter first, but this works.
You have been added to the participants list! Ahndrach thanks you for your story.

Hello, hello, wonderful and amazing contestants! I hope you all are having a great day/night.
I'm here just to give you all a small reminder that it is Oct 15 today, so for those of you who haven't submitted yet, you have half a month to get ready your undoubtedly awesome piece of writing. For those of you who have submitted, continue on having your great day/night!

I'd like to ask the winds a question :)
I have two pieces ready for submission, one is a short story about overcoming grief, and the other is the final chapter of my WIP novel.
Which would the winds rather hear?

You ask your question to the air. Each word draws a gust, the winds turning visible with their glittering silver tails, swirling around you in a mini windstorm. They nudge and tug at you, and within them, you hear a thousand incomprehensible whispers, layering and overlapping, but never quite coming to be an answer. As hard as you strain, you can't understand the wind.
But there is someone you can understand, and you find them beside you. A moment earlier, the space had been empty. "Two tales; we are most blessed tonight," Ahndrach says, and a faint smile alights on their face, thin as silk. "As expected from an expert storyteller such as yourself. Alas, we have no intention to keep you, and you did mention-" an unreadable, almost mournful, look passes over their face like the shadow of a cloud over sunny fields, "-a home you wish to return to."
The winds have gone still, curling around your legs in small puffs every now and then. Fog gathers around you, blurring the surroundings. "Whichever you feel resonates the most with you," Ahndrach says finally. "Give us vibrance. Give us life." In the misty white you feel shadows rise, expectant listeners, eager for your next words.
((Aphelion says: if you ever want feedback on a story, or that novel that you mention, I'm most willing to be an editor/proofreader! It doesn't have to be a submission to this contest for feedback))
