She jerked her head, wanting to keep awake. She watched them bickering about talking a gate and gatekeepers.

Alaska nudged Pepper."she's fainting again." Alaska whispered urgently. Pepper turned and saw the very weary girl. She rummaged around in her saddle bag and managed to find an old and probably very stale lettuce and cucumber sandwich and a slightly mushy Apple "I don't know how old this is but I figured it was better than nothing." Pepper said as she leaned down next to the girl and handed her the sandwich while with the other hand she held the apple out to Midnight.

She accepted it hungrily whether or not it was old. It did not ease her hunger too much but it should keep her awake.

Midnight ate the mushy apple and let out a muffled, "Thank you," before settling down again.

"No." Ratonhnhake:ton said sarcastically. "I'm only the gatekeeper, of course I know where it is."

"Guys stop fighting please. Can we just get a move on? She's not going to last much longer out here." July said feeling dizzy himself.

Keezheekoni looked in different directions. Sighing, she patted Borak gently. Her tongue clicked in command as they headed through an abandoned town. She made sure to stay on the outskirts of it. Her eyes widened when she seen people ahead. They didn't look like her. She'd never seen much other than from her tribe. She stayed low as she directed Borak deeper into the shadows. They watched silently as they seemed to angrily speak to one another. She rubbed his neck gently when he started to make noises of complaint. "Shhhh...lets watch. I just want to look..." she whispered. She smiled when he made a snort and calmed. Their eyes shifted back to the strangers.

Pepper nodded and reached down and slipped her arm under the other girls shoulders. Pepper stood up easily This girl might as well be a doll! she thought surprised at how light the girl was. "Midnight do you think you can carry her or do you want Alaska or Camel to do it for you?" She asked wanting to get a vague idea of how tired this girl was.

"No I can do it," Midnight said. She leaned down so Mia could heave herself up onto her.

July helped left her as best he could. He was swaying himself now though he tried to hide it the best he could. "Alright then, let's head out." He said trying to get up onto his saddle.

Ratonhnhake:ton watched before pulling himself onto Winds back. "This way, and keep up." The stones around his neck lit up again and he looked back. "Someone's following us..."

She looked behind and readied her bow and arrow. The stone on her neck glowed as well. (It's white).

Keezheekoni froze. Her eyes studied the girl with the bow and arrow. Glad they hadn't spotted her. She stayed low. She kept her glowing bracelet covered by her sleeve. She shook her head. "These are not monsters. Why is it glowing like that..." she whispered to Borak.

Borak shook his head a little. "How do we know they aren't?" he answered. He led her quietly. They came up around the side of the group.

Keezheekoni clicked her tongue for him to stop. She didn't want to get any closer. Her eyes curiously going over each member of their group. "It's the palefaces..." she whispered to Borak. Her hand moved to her bow and arrow. She pulled it out. Pulling back the string. "Don't move. I want to scare them so they keep going..." she whispered. Aiming her arrow straight for one of the members before she shot the arrow into the horn of the older man's saddle. Watching as it stuck there. Her eyes going over the members of the group as she put away her bow. Slowly backing Borak up. Keeping an eye on the man. He seemed to be in charge.
