Irene lit a cigarette, frustrated. These children overall didn't seem very helpful. She just hoped she wasn't being strung along in some sort of wild goose chase.
She had had quite enough of those missions when it came to planet Minara and the dealings of the Aeldrians and their constant strings of civil wars. Seemed she'd need to do her own investigations once they were finally back on the ground.

Katia didn't have much to add either and noting her mother's irritation, opted to not to bother her.
"So you talk about this being imprisoned thing a lot.. What was that like? I mean you kinda just woke up in a whole new century, huh?"

"The consequences of venturing to the edge of the Darkness at its peak. I spent 50 years enchanted into a prison with no escape. I was sustained and remained unaged whilst inside, and when I did sleep, I was able to see flashes of the world outside. A year inside that prison was like a day." Nicote said.

"So he's technically an old man now." Kari joked.


"It is not funny." Nicote grumbled. 'My brother is now an old man and my nephew is older then I in physical age."

Katia didn't know what to say to that. Seemed kind of like a big, long nap to her.
And at the rate, this conversation was going, she'd need one herself soon. She could only half-follow what these weird aliens were going on and on about anyways.
She pursed her lips, wracking her brain for any other questions, but resigned into silence as she came up empty.

At least they only had a few more hours to kill..
She set her head down on the console and groaned a bit, dropping her antennae over it.

Nicote was still oogling all the technology.

Meinke had....well, he'd pulled out some carefully folded paper and wasa sketching who knows what on it.

And Kari was also falling asleep. But trying to stay awake and failing miserably.
