He swayingly got to a stand and followed her. "Hey! I ain't letting you get away!" He jumped over roots and tried to duck under branches with mild success.

Lazi barely heard him, her head spinning like crazy. She collapsed against a tree, barely breathing. She knew he would find her but she felt tired, too tired to care. He would find her and she would be a failure. She pulled out a knife, one she had stolen when she had ran away and stabbed herself with it, right in her heart.

He rushed over, skidding to a stop as he saw. He wasn't sure what to do, so he came over and took hold of her shoulders.

She smiled, her face filled with pain, "I guess we both failed..." She started to cough violently, blood splattering on the ground as she reached and pulled the knife out, weakly throwing it at him.
"Well well well," A voice said as Hayden walked out of the woods, except it wasn't him, this one had blue eyes.
He smiled and threw a small vile at Kris.
"Give it to her, even if you have to force her," The fake Hayden sighed and kneeled next to Kris, putting his hands on Lazi's wounds to stop the bleeding.

He caught the vile, eyeing different Hayden, and was quite confused but he didn't fight. He knelt in front of Lazi and pushed her head back, opening the vile and shoving the opening to her mouth.

Lazi gasped, trying to spit it out, her eyes wide and unclear. Fake Hayden hit her and she swallowed it reluctantly.
"I'm the shapeshifter from before," Fake Hayden explained watching as the wound closed.
He stepped back as Lazi closed her eyes and slowly shrunk until in her place was an unconscious cat.
"That should do it... wow that wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. She will be like this for awhile until she wakes up," Fake Hayden said ruffling his hair.

"Uh..." Kris was quite confused, shaking his head a bit. 'Shapeshifter from before.'

Fake Hayden nods, "I need to show you something quickly," He sighed and he started to change shape until he was the the beast Kris was scared of.
"I was the beast, testing you for when it really came for you... be careful. It does not know mercy like I do. I am not bad but it is," He shifted back into Fake Hayden and walked away, leaving Kris with the cat:

Kris paled at the sight of the beast but he did calm a bit as he watched Fake Hayden go away. He gently picked the cat up and cradled her as he stood. "I will be. I refuse to just let someone get hurt. We will find Hayden, and we will make things better. I swear it on my own life, even if my role in this play is not the hero."

Azrail had been climbing a tree when Lazi had stumbled through, followed by Kris. "On your own life? That's kind of a big thing." Azrail says, climbing down to branches before leaping off the last one and landing a few feet away from Kris. "If we're to find Hayden, we're going to have to group up and decide what the best course of action will be."

Sam teleports to Cobra's side and asks, "Since I still have some things to learn, will you be able to teach me?" She had spaced out for more than a few minutes, trying to teach herself the stuff she didn't know. That's hard to do, if you haven't tried it before.
