Maya looked at casey unsure what to do she knew nothing at all about him exsept he was dating a girl who always bullied and tormented her after all never get into a stranger's car let alone their house. Maya was about to politely decline when her mother sent her a text saying she wouldn't be home as she had to rush to a ranch called Sunny oak gardens ranch one of the horses suddenly got sick "sunny oak ranch again" she said she knew that ranch well her mother was attracted to its owner. Casey was looking pretty dejected, staring at the ground. He was sorry he ever said anything. He should have just ignored her. Of course, he was going to be alone again. He never got used to it

Maya smiled "ah I'm glad" she said and smiled softly at him she was always awkward making conversations and she hoped the sick horse on sunny oak ranch would be alright it sounded serious if she had to run off. Maya told casey about the horse on the ranch

His eyes widened. "Oh no...that's not good..." From that point on, he started to mutter to himself. "Maybe it was something in the hay I gave it...or maybe in the water...oh, he's going to kill me," he murmured, rubbing his forehead. "I'm going to get skinned alive if it dies!" He exclaimed

Maya frowned dropping her bag she rushed over "hey May be it something else" she said and placed her hands on his shoulders seeing him looking upset she pulled him into a hug holding him close. " I can't see it being Awards or high at the others would have gotten sick, maybe the animal came in contact with something or maybe they fell over if it was life threatening yoir boss would call" she added luckily the horse was alright it was sick from eating human food left by a family picnic that didn't clear up their rubbish

Casey was shocked at the sudden contact. Once he had gotten over his shock, he hugged her back, tightly. "I hope you're right," he murmured. He truly did hope she was right, or else he was going to be in some hot water with his boss.

Maya smiled within a few minutes they received the news that the horse was completely fine she had just eaten some sausage rolls and a peanut butter and jam sandwich and the owner was alright and quickly maya told him. Maya mother gave permission for maya to go over Casey's house and she smiled and pulled away

"Oh thank goodness. I'm so glad the horse is okay. By the way, something that you should probably know is that I don't live on the ranch. My parents...they aren't around anymore, so I got their house."
