As she followed Puddlepaw, a faint scent of cherry trees wafted around her. Spottedpaw! her heart swelled with sadness. "I could never leave you, Ravenpaw," echoed through her mind.

Puddlepaw
She noticed the switch in emotion from the younger cat and paused a step. "Hey, are you okay?" she asked softly. She hated seeing cats sad

Ravenpaw was startled by the question. "Uh, yeah. I-... I'm fine." The last words came out of her mouth as hardly a mumble. "Let's go."

Puddlepaw
Puddlepaw watched Ravenpaw start walking again with a small frown on her face but quickly wiped it away. She wanted to ask again but didn't want to force it and possibly cause a crack in whatever friendship her and the she-cat had

"We should go over to the watering hole, to find those herbs," she said.

Pinefrost to witheredfeather
"Oh, uh, morning, Witheredfeather," Pinefrost said. "I slept well, I guess. Um, what-what about you...?" He silently wanted to kick himself for being so awkward. It wasn't like they were in different clans or anything, and they were around the same age. He wished he had more confidence like Sunstrike.

Crescenttide and Whitefire to Parsleypaw
"Great," Crescenttide said. "Whitefire, we're ready to join the hunting patrol," she said. The tom frowned at Parsleypaw. He had forgotten that Crescenttide took over as Parsleypaw's mentor. "With him?" he said. "Yeah." Whitefire narrowed his eyes at the apprentice a moment longer before saying, "Alright, as long as he doesn't slow us down." Crescenttide tensed for the briefest of moments. "He won't."

Whitefire to Dewstar in one sentence
"I'm taking out the hunting patrol," he announced to his leader.

Whitefire, Crescenttide, Pinefrost- hunting patrol
"Well, let's get moving then," Whitefire said to everyone on the hunting patrol. Pinefrost seemed relieved Crescenttide was coming along.

Beefeather to: Sorrowpaw, Willowweep
"ok willowweep, let's go." they wind their way around the territory eventually comming to a small bed of half frozen water. they begin to look around.

Sorrowpaw
Sorrowpaw didnt say anything but followed the others. He didnt mind the walking, even if he had just gotten back from a long one.

Witheredfeather
Witheredfeather gave Pinefrost a reassuring look, "I slept perfectly. Thanks for asking." He turned away from Pinefrost and to the rest of the cats. He was eager to do some hunting, it would wake him up and would be a relief to every cat if they brought something back.

Ravenpaw realized that Puddlepaw was concerned. "I'm really sorry. It's just....." she looked away. "It's just I thought I felt Spottedpaw's presence." She felt a pang of longing stronger than anything she had ever felt before. "I miss her. She was the only cat I ever loved."

Puddlepaw's eyes widened in shock at the other apprentice telling her what was wrong so easily. "I'm um... I'm sorry for your loss. I bet she's watching over you from starclan right jow." She said, offering the condolences to a cat she never knew
