Aedan exchanged a glance with the Count, and walked out of the room. He knew that of they stayed longer, it would anger the Empress even more. He was still nervous and tense. A part of him was relieved that the conversation - or more correctly, the trial - had ended.

She didn't look back as she walked away, because she knew it would just annoy her more. She didn't know when she got so sensitive to men, and she honestly didn't like it. It irritated her.
She opened the doors to the bath chambers, and her maids quickly undressed her, then she stepped inside. There was one good thing that came out of that pointless conversation, however. She would have to deal with that 'Tax Witch'. If he caught her.

Archer was relieved to have been done with the Empress. He was furious that the whole ordeal had been a waste of time, but his exhaustion kept his mind at bay. He would deal with his father another time.
"I am sorry that I had referred to you as a child. I do not think there was any other means of abating her temper." He muttered to Aedan as he followed him out of the chamber.

She partially felt like she should give him a little information regarding the witch, but knew that he could get the same information by looking at her wanted posters and asking around the capital. She wasn't going to do anything unnecessary for him anyway.

sure)) she woke up the next morning yawning going down stairs for breakfast as she paid for it knowing the carage would head out in three days. She got some gravy and biscuits with a steak paying for it as she wolfed it down with a cup of water.

Having woke up much later than he expected, Lyon stopped for breakfast. He wouldn't dare think of seeing the Empress on an empty stomach. That was just asking for trouble.
He waved slightly to Luca as he had noticed her sitting alone. Other residents of the inn were keeping a wide berth from her, muttering things about witches between themselves. He paid it no mind as he took a seat next to her with his own plateful of food, only for his blood to run icy as he caught sight of the woman's fangs.
No, no. That tincture was supposed to ward her from the effects of his companion's dark magic. What had gone wrong?
He tried to bury his own guilt and concern behind a nervous half-smile. Surely she had already noticed them by now. He did not want to offend the young woman by pointing them out.
"I am.. surprised to see you are still here. I thought the innskeeper would have run you out by now, ..er.. I don't believe I ever got your name."

"oh it takes a lot to run me off, and the names um er Mary. the names Mary" she said lieing to him to make sure he didn't find out who she truly was. She might tell him her name later but for now she was keeping it a secret.

"No problem. You were trying to help me, I should thanks you for that". Aedan said, while he was walking away from the imperial chamber.
"You mentionned a witch, who is she? Are you some kind of witch hunter?
He paused suddenly. He juste realized something about the Empress, and it was bothering him.
"She wasn't wearing mourning clothes, did you notice?"
