"Kittens? I love kittens..." Miles smiled. "I love it when they get old enough to crawl and they try to explore."

"I know, and when they try and walk with their little legs!" Luna smiled "Unfortunately Suns kittens aren't old enough for that yet but their still pretty cute."

"I bet they are." Miles said. "All kittens are cute."

"Come on." Luna said grabbing Miles's hand and leading him towards Sun and her kittens "you have to see them."

Just then the front door burst open. "We need to get him int emergency surgery stat! He's losing too much blood for us to wait." One of the rescuers said as he carried the bleed dog into the surgery room. "Luna were going to need your help!"

Luna nodded going into a sort of deathly calm state "He needs stitches should I do them?" She said following the rescuers into the operation room "Sorry Miles this is serious." She said then pushed into the operation room where the rescuers were already hooking the doc up to a bunch of machines. Luna ran over to one of the counters and picked up some sterilized needles and threads.

"I'm afraid so..." The rescuer said helping hook the dog up to the IV's and heart monitor. "What ever we do we need to do it quickly."

Miles followed but stayed in the doorway. "What happened to him?" He asked afraid to do much else. His main job was to stay out of the way.

"Poor dog here got attacked on the hiking trail by a big cat. Thing's lucky to even be here now. Report said that he managed to hold the cat off of some hikers until we arrived and scared the cat off. The bikers said that he just showed up on the trail before the cat did.." The rescuer said. "They don't plan on going hiking any time soon, but they do plan on donating to the shelter to try and help pay for this guys bills."

"That's good." Luna said. "He's definitely a good spirited dog." She turned and began to stitch some deep scratches on his side that one of the rescuers had already sanitized. Luna worked steadily stitching up the areas that had already been sanitized. The dog was under anesthetics so Luna wasn't afraid of hurting him even more. After what seemed like hours she had stitched up all the scratches. She put her tools in the sink and took out a needle. She filled it with some anti infection fluid and slowly injected it into the dog. "There." She said stepping away from the dog and wiping her sweaty forehead "I think he's stable now." The whole room seemed to be taking a huge sigh of relief.

Miles stepped forward and petted the dog. "He's a good dog, saving people he doesn't even know."

"Yeah, he's definitely a really good dog." Luna agreed too tired to think about it much. "Maybe we could check on him after some lunch." She said yawning a little.
