Piper Nodded, taking the dagger gratefully. Her eyes darted from the were-cheetah tho the were-bear, and back again, wondering which would strike first.

At that moment, the two Nighthowlers struck.
Se'therran flicked out a throwing knife, and it flew straight into the werebear's right shoulder.
It charged, and Se'therran flung another, which struck it off center to the left side of the werebear's chest. Then it was on him It swiped at him, and he just dodged.
Meanwhile, the cheetah lunged at Piper.

(The exposition is still unfolding. Basically, two hunters are in combat, one that was previously attacked has turned and had to be put down, and that's as far as anyone's gotten.)
