She breathed in once again and let the fresh air fill her lungs. "Okay, time to go back inside." She shapeshifted back to her human form and walks back into the mountain house. "Now I'm ready to be functioning member of society." She smiled.

"Welcome back to society." Zach says. Sam gets up and hands you a bowl of rabbit stew.

"Thank you." She glared in Zach's direction. "Just because I can't wake up in the morning like a normal person doesn't mean anything." She mumbled to herself before she started eating the soup.

"Not everybody wakes up in the morning like a normal person." Sam notes, pointing to Ray.
Ray laughs, "Some of us don't have to sleep in order to live either."
Sam shakes his head, "I keep trying to convince Ray that he should sleep but he hardly ever listens. And when he does sleep, he goes into hibernation."
"Did you compare me to a bear?" Ray asks, putting his hands on his hips.
"A grizzly to be exact." Sam says with a smile.

"How the hexes did you hear that? Nevermind, he should let me too. Okay maybe I like staying up so much it's unhealthy and when I need my eight hours don't wake me up by letting someone shoot you!" She pointed to Zach.

Sam winks, "I'm an elf. I hear, see, and know more than you'd expect."
Zach gave a weak excuse about how he was in no control of the gun and it was a good thing he had been shot otherwise Selene would maybe be dead.

"Friggin elves knowing everything. Zach, you got shot! You could've let me die in peace but noooo you had to get shot by the flirty dragon, didn't you?" She retorted to Zach's excuse.

Charlotte leans forward, watching the argument with interest.
"You wanted to die? Okay, then I'm sorry I woke up and heard that they wanted you dead and they wanted the daggers - who knows what they would have done with those. I'm sorry I couldn't keep myself from getting shot when I couldn't see anything." Zach says, throwing up his hands in defeat. "Next time I will let you die in peace and keep out of it."

"Well, I have so much stress, anxiety, and depression that maybe the sweet release of death would be fine! Literally EVERYONE I love dies and I actually volunteered to go into the labyrinth. For a reason. Because I gave up! I gave up on life but I wanted you to get out. It turned out that I survived it. Maybe I just wish I hadn't." She looked down at her stew and put it down. "I've lost my appetite."

There was a long silence from everyone before Charlotte scoots forward and takes your bowl, eating the rest of it herself.
Zach seemed to be mulling over things by himself, lost somewhere in his own world.
Ray and Samuel pretended not to have heard as it wasn't their business. Ray seemed more interested in how you escaped the Labyrinth but said nothing, cleaning up. Samuel stuck himself inside a book.
The silence was long, thick, and uncomfortable for more than just Zach.
Samuel coughs slightly to have some noise, silence haunting him more than the words.
"Are you alright?" Ray asks, instantly pouncing on something else to talk about and something else to do. "Is it a cold? Are you cold? Can I get you something?"
"No, no. I'm fine." Sam says with a wave of his hand. "But while we're talking, I know it may not be the best time to say this, but I've received news that some monsters are escaping from the Labyrinth." Sam closes his book and rests it on his lap, taking his reading glasses off.
