Am I supposed to be writing an essay that's due tomorrow right now? Yep, and I'm choosing to make a rp instead of getting a good grade.

The clan's last few members sat in a circle around the food pile, it was empty save for a single beetle.
"We must stay strong, food will return soon. Starclan told me in a dream." the voice of a she cat who was in awful condition rose above the silence. "We have lost our kits, our apprentices, and our elders. We have lost our deputy and our queens. We must remain strong within our dwindling numbers." The cats around shuffled around and they shuddered at the small breeze, no longer having a thick enough pelt or enough fat to protect them from chills. They had to make a tough decision. Do they stay and try to survive this famine or leave to see if it has spread to other clans and areas. The silence was broken occasionally but by the end of the night they had decided. They would stay loyal to their camp and the land where their family and clan mates had been born, raised, and died in.

Appearance- Sorroweyes is big and lean. His fur is dark gray but he has patches of brown and white around his chest and paws. He has scars on his face and back from a badger fight he got into when he was an apprentice. His eyes are a gray blue color, hence where he got his name
Backstory- He was a loner whose twoleg family abandoned him. He wandered into Hollowclan territory around 12 moons ago and he is still working on gaining the trust of all the clan members. They distrust him due to his tough exterior
Personality- He keeps to himself and isn't much of a team player. His cold exterior hides his soft spot for kits and apprentices

Appearance- She's a frail looking cat with strong Russian blue genes. She has a white ear and the tip of her tail has the tiniest bit of white. Despite her small appearance she is a strong and determined fighter and hunter
Backstory- She was just a kit when the famine first showed up. She was one of the 2 remaining kits who survived the toughest times for the clan. Both her mother and father, the deputy, died of starvation and she was left in the care of the medicine cat. When the medicine cat died she tried to become the next one but a dream told her she was meant to fight and contribute to the clan that runs so strongly in her blood.
Personality- Kind and wise, though she is also very outgoing and friendly she has moment when she can be serious and snappy. Mostly with apprentices who fool around and waste food.



Name- Badgerheart

Age- 168 moons (14 years)

Appearance- A huge cat, one of American Bobtail descent. He is a deep gray and brown color with white markings around his face and stomach. His fur seems to hang off his body which was once muscular and perfect for hunting and battles
Backstory- He was born into the clan, his father once a leader who died bravely in a battle. His mother was also a fierce warrior who raised him to carry on the family legacy of being some of the greatest warriors the clan has ever seen. He quickly grew into his huge paws and poof of fur, transforming from a fluff ball into a quite scary tom. He was to be deputy but the famine came and he lost both his mate and his apprentice, sending him into a state of depression. He never fully recovered from the famine, no cat has, but he refuses to eat some days as he is too caught up in his thoughts and sorrow. He has one surviving kit who is now the leader. He doesn't spend much time with him because he reminds him too much of his mate
Personality- Badgerheart is a grumpy cat, once happy and prideful he thinks he has failed the clan because he couldn't save his love and the young cat he once thought of as his own kit. He snaps at the others often and prefers to be alone, liking only the company of quiet cats who don't say much with their words, instead saying it with their actions. He chooses to stay away from the apprentices and the kits because they bring him memories he prefers to not remember
This cat is just along for a short ride, he will be dying pretty soon after the start of the roleplay

Appearance- A big cat, much like his father Badgerheart,he is also very muscular. Despite his father's build he has his mother's coloring. Witheredstar is an almost gray white with pale ginger patches along his flank and face. He has pale green eyes and scars along his muzzle from being caught in brambles as a kit.
Backstory- He was born as the kit of Badgerheart and Gingerwish in the midst of the famine. He had always been the biggest kit and wasn't allowed to play very much with all the much weaker kits. He had always isolated himself as an apprentice as the death of both his mother, mentor, and what seemed like his father hit him hard. As he grew to accept his loving personality he also began to talk with the other cats much more often.
Personality- Much like his build his personality is big. He is very sociable and loving, and don't tell anyone but he's a hopeless romantic. He wishes to have kits of his own one day and to name one after his mother in her honor. Think of a gentle giant and you have Witheredstar

Appearance- Short description, he's a tall lean fawn tabby tom. His coat is a light gingery silver fawn color with darker tabby stripes and swirls and a white chest, belly, and paw tips. He also has a soft green eyes.
Backstory- He was young when the famine hit, an apprentice maybe. His mother was the first cat he lost, then his father and brother leaving him alone with the rest of the starving clan. He grew away from others not wanting to get to close and lose someone else dear to him. He loves to interact with other cats and since becoming deputy has become more social and happy, putting others first as always.
Personality- He's a very gentle, caring, and quiet tom, admiring from afar. He's a great warrior and a strong fighter. He puts his clan first and is always the last cat to eat. He has a soft spot for kits and hopes to one day have some of his own.

Appearance- She's a beautiful calico she-cat with a white patch on her chest and has one blue and one green eye. She's small and thin and has scar on her left shoulder as well as a small limp from fox attack as a newly made warrior.
Backstory- Her mothers now an elder, Lilytail(NPC), lives in the elders den. She cares for her mother and since losing both her father and best friend in an attempt to save her from a fox only a moon after becoming a warrior. She visits her mother quite often telling her about her personal life.
Personality- She's friendly but shy. She knows how to speak up but often doesn't talk to others unless they talk to her first, keeping things in her head instead of voicing her opinions/thoughts. She's quite clumsy, tripping over her own paws. She sometimes still act's like a kit getting distracted by a butterfly or shiny pebble.

Appearance- He's small and thin with a white coat and yellow eyes. His furs sorta patchy and you can see a few scratches and scars throughout his pelt. He has a notch in his right ear from an incident he can't remember from when he was a kit.
Backstory- He lost his mother not to long after becoming an apprentice, right when the famine was starting to ease up. It crushed him. His father was a loner and has moved on since his mothers passing. His mother was relatively young when having him and had difficulties nursing him and his siblings so he was the only kit in his litter to make it. He's still quite runty and weak but always pushes himself to try harder.
Personality- He can be stubborn and spark arguments. He yearns for a friend but constantly pushes others away. He always has the last word in an argument even if he won't admit it.
