Welcome to Xenakis Academy, where girls and boys of prestigious families are sent off to be married away!
Yep! You heard me right, parents send their children who need to be wed! Your reasons for being sent here may differ, but there's one purpose to this place, and that's to get married to whom you are assigned to! (Also known as an arranged marriage!)
Most are very unhappy to be sent here, but what other choice is there? You can try to run, but the school is basically on lockdown! The one mercy this academy has is that they give you approximately a year to attempt to get along with your future spouse, so put in your best effort!

Please keep in mind I'm looking for people who are reliable and will not just one-liner reply, it's so difficult to respond to such small responses! I'll ask you when you join, depending on if you request one of my characters to be "betrothed" to yours, if you want this to be more 1x1 romance or if you'll want to interact with other characters, so keep that in mind! I ask you try to even out genders a bit! When the RP gets around 12 characters that each have a pair, I'll start the RP!

Mercedes is pretty much emotionless. She doesn't react to other people at all really. Her face is constantly blank and you can never tell just what's on this girl's mind. It's just how she's always been, but she's a little different when you get to know her. Mercedes comes from a wealthy family, but she has been neglected by her family her entire life. They never had time for her whatsoever, and it was in all reality the housemaids that's raised her. As she grew up, her kindness was betrayed many times by the people around her, especially at school. She became less and less human in a way, and just completely shut off, like someone just flipped a switch inside of her. Now, she's been sent here as a way for her parents to get rid of their "no good" daughter in hopes that if she marries off, she'll change and become less robotic.

Backstory:
Jishii comes from a very powerful line of demons, and her family is one of the wealthiest around. Much is expected of their only daughter, and one of them is to get married and bear children to continue the family legacy. Jishii is, to say it mildly, not happy with this whatsoever. She's planning to escape the place and completely fight against who she's supposed to be marrying.
In other words, Jishii has a cute name and pretty appearance, but don't be fooled, she can be pretty awful with her words and actions.

Rigan is a flirt to say it bluntly. He loves watching other people squirm around after he makes them all flustered, he's not particularly sadistic, but he can be. He'll flirt with any and everyone if he finds they have a fun reaction. Otherwise, flirting aside, he's almost bubbly and sarcastic. He's almost always smiling. You know you did something wrong when he gets angry. Rigan is also childish in a way, he's laid back and doesn't take things super seriously. (Part of the reason he got booted to the Academy, he won't just settle for one person, he often gets bored.)
When he really wants something, he'll make sure he gets it.

Nothing much to say here, other than he's a bit of a pampered and spoiled brat. His parents coddled him for too long, so now he thinks he's entitled to whatever he wants.
They finally booted him out of the home when he was having issues finding a bride so he can carry out the family legacy, but he didn't really complain. He thinks it'll be fun to try and woo some girl or guy into marrying him. Rigan views this whole thing as a game.

He isn't afraid to approach people, stand up for himself, or stand up for others. He has a kind and gentle soul in general.

Backstory:
Cellen's mother passed away from an illness when he was young, so it was just him, his younger brother and sister, and his father. His father isn't a social man, so he was mostly the parent figure towards his younger siblings. His father frowns in his sorrow over the loss of their mother, and became a shut in.
Cellen was sent here by his father so he could have a chance at life and love, even though Cellen didn't want to leave his siblings, or his father, alone at the mansion.
Still, he chooses to not fight his father and he plans to return after this year at the academy is over.

She's been controlled by her uncle all her life, so while she is smart and capable, she resents that she isn't really herself, she's just who her uncle wanted her to be. Hyza is the person who acts all confident until someone points out her weaknesses, then her pride deflated like a balloon.

Hyza was orphaned at birth by her late parents. Her uncle begrudgingly took her in, since he had no heir for his fortune, and they had no other existing family members. He is very strict on her, and not a very nice man. So, when she refused to get married to someone she didn't love, he sent her off. Part of her is glad to be here, while the other part of her is sad that she has to be in a loveless marriage. Her uncle doesn't speak to her anymore, and that bothers her was well, since for the most part she had looked up to him all her life, even if he wasn't the most loving man or parent figure.

Due to this, there has always been some tension between Mara and Fin. Fin was well educated. She tipped towards a more rebellious side in her teens. Her parents sent her away when she nearly incinerated her last suitor.

Covvi's parents are very strict. They reprimanded him for the littlest of mistakes. This caused him to be nervous and always watching himself. It also led to him being unable to connect with other people very well. His parents realized the only way he would get married is if it was forced so he is now here.

Personality: Silent, at least that's as far as people dare to call him. He is extremly stuborn and secretive, he will not hesitate to do things his way despite what others say.

Backstory: Svadis, while looking mostly human, was born with a mind closer to the one of a dragon. This didn't sound bad however it greatly affected his hability to find someone to be with on the long term. His unwillingness to speak to anybody was what push his parents to drag him into an aranged mariage for his own good, they coudn't just sit and wait for him to take the first steps any longer.

What's in Their Suitcase?: Cloaths, nothing overly fancy it's not like whoever would be stuck with him would have a choice, a few books for when he was bored, a guitar and a seahorse plushie, it had a sentimental value to him there is no way he would trust his parents with it.

The horns on his head act as antenas, this allow him to communicate thelepathicly at time, mostly fealings or mental images. They are sensitive, grabing one of them is a sure way to stop him dead in his tracks from the disconfort, holding them too long will give him a headache.
