Hello. What's the best way to start?

Perhaps with just what they are up to before disaster hits? I can write a start but not till morning.

Magic Potion had never been so bored. Honestly, why did Celestia place him with these two high security experts? They were so dull! Wasn't he supposed to be reforming or something like that? This was just killing him now. He floated along after the two pegasi and tried to behave, but honestly, this was no fun. He wanted to go out into Equestria and see what fun was there. Suddenly, he sneezed and he found himself on top of a statue. He looked down at his guards. "My apologies. My teleportation has been acting up." His horn lit with magic and he floated back down to them. "But that was quite exhilarating, truly."

Sunrise Streak was speaking casually with the other pony the Princess had assigned to keeping Magic Potion out of trouble. She was trotting down the hall, glancing at the obviously bored unicorn. She looked to Howling Wolf. "We should find something for him to do before-" There was a mighty sneeze behind them and she turned around to find Magic Potion was on top of one of the statues in the hall.

"Now where did she go?" Cherry Bomb murmured as she looked around for the filly she'd seen run through here. "Poor thing thinks she's a curse. I have to set her straight." She trotted along the road, eyes searching. "I'll find her. I'm good at finding people who need a bit of a confidence boost."

Howling wolf looked at Magic Potion. "Ah yes, we definitely should. He seems... antsy." He mumbled. Howling looked back at Magic. "What if we took you to the library sir? It may be more interesting than wandering the palace's halls." He offered. He stood up straighter and flashed an awkward smile.

(Ember isn't a filly, she is an adult. Sorry if that seemed unclear from my description of her.)
Ember sat down in the alleyway by the castle. She whimpered a bit. Only moments before, there had been a break out of animals at the shelter, which could obviously only have been her fault. She sighed rather loudly. It was getting harder to avoid. When she was little, it was smaller things. A plate breaking or puddle splashing up at her. Now it was fires and runaway animals. She huffed. This was incredibly frustrating. Her ears twitched and she jumped to the side as a vase fell from the window sill above.

Magic Potion regarded the wolf like pony as he started floating upside down and above their heads. "I don't see a reason not to, though I have read many of those books already."

Sunrise Streak heaved a sigh. "Of course you have. What about a game? A scavenger hunt perhaps?"

Cherry Bomb's ear twitched as she heard a whimper from a nearby alleyway. They were close to the palace now. She trotted into the alley and saw the pony she was searching for. "Why hello there! Looks like you could use a little pick me up!" Cherry declared as she stopped in front of the other.

Howling Wolf nodded. "A game might keep you busy. We don't want you being bored under our watch." He chimed. He shifted his weight to his left side. It was hard to watch over a pony such as this. He stretched his wings a bit. It seemed like there was a lot in store for them today.

Ember looked at her, worried. "N-no miss. I wouldn't stand so close. Maybe like all the way outside the alleyway." She said calmly. There was no ill intent in her speak though she did seem very uncomfortable. Her ears went back. There was a doomed sort of feeling in the back of her mind. She hated for this lovely mare to be stuck around her when it struck.

A grin spread across Magic Potion's face. "A game! How delightful! I would very much like to play a game! How about hide and seek? You're the seekers and I shall hide. Ready? Go!" He said this all in rapid fire, not giving the pegasi time to think. He teleported out of the palace and flew towards the fence to leave the royal garden. "How long will it take for them to realize I am no longer in the castle? Oh, this will be fun! I haven't seen all of Equestria in one thousand years!"

Sunrise Streak tried to keep up with the excited rambling of the unicorn. "Wait, we can't play hide and seek! We need to- Wait!" She lunged to catch the unicorn, but it was too late. He had teleported away. "We need to find him. Now." She turned and dashed through the halls, searching high and low for that annoying pony.

Cherry Bomb did nothing. She just grinned and tilted her head slightly. "Don't be ridiculous. You're that pony I've heard others talking about. Ember? Well, I'm here to tell you that you ain't no bad luck charm."

Howling Wolf gulped. He didn't want to lose Magic Potion, that could mean trouble. He looked at Sunrise. "So, where do you think he might have gone? We need to find him ASAP." He asked. He shifted his weight, clearly nervous.

Ember laughed slightly. "Just saying it doesn't make it so." She whispered. She stood and turned so her flank was clear. Her eyes displayed a sadness. She hated to argue but couldn't agree with the denying of something that had plagued her since she was young. She nervously shifted, looking around. The feeling of coming chaos still bothered her.

Once on the outside of the fence, Magic Potion was free to trot around like a normal pony. No pony knew what he looked like, so he thought it would be fine. His horn lit with magic as he let his magic free, causing pegasi to fly upside down and unicorn horns to go floppy. "Oh, this is fun! I'll fix it all before the day is done, of course. Don't want to get into too much trouble now."

Sunrise thought frantically before heading for the throne room. "What if he was lying about the reformation? What if he's going after the princesses?!"

Cherry Bomb hopped in front of her standing tall, even though the other mare was much taller than her. "You are no curse. In fact, you may be a blessing. You are an alarm. Yes, an alarm of incoming disasters and mishaps!" She declared proudly. "They don't happen because of you, they just happen and you happened to know it would!"

Howling nodded. He quickly followed her. He stopped. 'Sunrise, wait. He wouldn't hurt Luna and Luna would protect her sister. He isn't going after the princesses." He said.

Ember shook her head. She paused then pushed Cherry out of the way as a pegasus fell towards them. In that panic, she jumped away from her and started running. The ponies around her seemed to be acting strange. Yes, this might be part of the bad thing she thought was coming.
