i have no idea if this is possible but when you click on a ping for a post that has a lot of pictures, such as the recent cookie contest, it first loads to the post, but then as all the pictures load, it pushes the pinged post out of view. you have to wait for them to all load before you can scroll back because they wont sit still till then. for me, this can take quite a while. and, if you don't know for sure which one you were pinged to it can be quite confusing.

is there any way to have the pinged post remain on the screen while pics load in?

Currently, I don't know any ways to do this. The way I stay on a post while the pictures load is, basically, scroll down/follow the post while the whole forum starts loading.

How I tend to do it is to let the pics load, then reload the page, which then takes me directly to the post, with all theo ther pics loaded

I just tried that, and it didn't bring me to the post.
For example I'm on post blahblehblah, and the images load while I don't do anything. After all of it loads, I'm on post Blehblehblah. I refresh it, and although the images are all loaded, I'm still on Blehblehblah. But I guess it still works if you want to find blahblehblah on the Forum without having to wait for the posts to load.

Hmm. could be different browsers. Though I think I have also noticed there seems to be a slight difference if I hit F5 or refresh as opposed selecting the address bar and hitting enter. Selecting the address bar and hitting enter, I think, tends to go to the post, while just hitting F5 will sometimes just reload the page and not scroll down to the post. (I haven't paid attention to this, so might not actually happen, might just be my imagining it :P)

yea, this doesnt work for me either. maybe there's a browser setting somewhere, normally id like that setting tho.. lol.


i did just discover if i copy the url and paste it into a new tab it works!
